The Broken Plains: World of Eternal War

Once, a long time ago, the world of Omni was whole. Omni is basically a giant plain, with many different types of vegetation and terrain. But generations of conflict and war have turned it into a broken world, divided into segments called 'Sectors', each Sector belonging to a kingdom.

 

These sectors contain many different peoples, so each kingdom has different technologies. The world has stayed in a constant stalemate of war for centuries, but with new developments approaching, new kingdoms are springing up everywhere. The world is being in enveloped in a single fight to the finish...But who will emerge the victor?

 

This is my first RP, but I'm hoping it's good enough.

Brianna was born when Demona was young and very poor; her parents nearly died of starvation because they insisted their daughter eat instead of them. After learning this at 6, she took it upon herself to find food for the family, honestly or not. She soon became an extremely proficient thief.

 

When she was 11, King Gallish died, and Queen Scorpio rose to power; this event was marked by an economic boom orchestrated by the far more competent monarch's interest in new technology. Her mother found work as an artisan, and her father entered the incredibly novel, if vague and crude, iron-crafting field. It was her father that created the rudimentary knife she still uses today. When she was 13, Brianna began work as a freelance thief in secret, subtly adding the cash she earned to her parents' paychecks.

 

Unfortunately, one day, she took a job for a wealthy businessperson who sought for her to steal back a stolen draft of an invention's layout. She completed the task, but the corporation that stole the plans in the first place sued the businessperson, who ratted her out to save himself. She was taken before the Queen on trial, but Queen Scorpio, simultaneously identifying with Brianna's situation and recognizing her potential, agreed to let her go if she became a part-time soldier (with full-time pay). Natually, she agreed, and that's where she is now.

 

Personality: She comes across as blunt and antisocial at times, but Brianna's just a kindhearted, if shy, young woman, who never learned how to lie white lies. She's not as naïve as one might think, and she grasps new concepts extremely quickly. Her personality really has too many quirks to list, but they'll become apparent.

Scorpio was raised by the somewhat incompetent King Gallish, who used tax money to pamper her beyond belief. She hated the overprivileged lifestyle, especially once she learned that she was causing the kingdom economic despair, so she fled the castle to live as a civilian for a time. She learned theft and combat during this time. When she returned, her father had died in a coup. Though naturally displeased, she was more than ready to take over, determined to save the kingdom from its economic hardships. She more than succeeded, and wrought the kingdom to the point where it even might be considered a threat. She's certain to keep a fairly large, excellently trained army for this reason.

 

Character Personality: Cunning, efficient, and ruthless, Scorpio is the ultimate warlord. She can empathize well with others, though, and is far from heartless. She tries, in her ruling, to ensure the social class gap is as close to nonexistent as possible; you could never tell by her appearance that she was royalty. She's extremely cynical, and always assumes the worst about everyone and everything. Lastly, she's amazingly blunt, and never so much as tries to be considerate.
