Guest Star
You must offer 3 Tributes to Tribute Summon this card. When this card is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. While this card is face-up on the Field, it cannot be targeted by Spells, Traps, or Monsters that designate a target. By offering 2 Monsters on your Field as Tributes, all Monsters on your opponent's Field are destroyed. Ok, so that's the effect of Obelisk in World Championship 2008. It's limited to 1 in World Championship 2008, so I figured I might as well use it. For an Egyptian God, I'd expect much more. This card isn't good at all in my opinion, and if it was legal it wouldn't be used. Discuss.
Phantom Roxas
It can actually beat DAD, but cards like Raigeki and Gilford(Shut up) can stop him.
Ultimate Ryan
no it wouldnt be used at all in the meta unless the gods got some support, the only reason they arent allowed are because they dont have the effect on the cards >.< they should make errata'd versions that are limited ^.^ it would be fun to try out

Lazer Yoshi
Other cards are much better, this card seems like a dud :PI might use it, but Id stick with my Fiend deck.

zelda_tp_fan
... I happen to remember his effect being " you may tribute 2 monsters on your side of the field in order to destroy all cards on your opponent's side of the field and deal 4000 points of damage to your opponent" it was something like that... Dad
Yeah, it was. Tribute 2 destroy everything, and inflict 4k Damage. That's it alright. ~Kenny

Guest PikaPerson01
SS-able (Reasoning, Dasher, Monster Reborn)I assume it can use Tokens for it's "effect"? (Is that a correct assumption?)I still wouldn't main it though.
Guest JoshIcy
>_> They really dumbed it down... Wouldnt use this at all, (unless I was egotistical on its blueness )
Mr. Judgment Dragon
That would make it really bad. What about The Winged Dragon of Ra? Would that be a good and viable strategy if its effect was dumbed down like Obelisk?
Tickle Me Emo
it could be run in turbo decks being as you hit it with reasoning and you get a 4k beatstick out. Problem is you get 1 turn with it and its easy to stop using cards suck as gravity bing, level limit, etc for its attack and not sure but mask of the restrict for its effect? its got its ups and downs but its a dead draw being as, like tonis said: nothign is worth 3 tributesThus you draw it and you can only drop it with like vortex or something. i could see this in combo with creator. ehh card is ehh, need a deck to be based around it to run it. Would that be a good and viable strategy if its effect was dumbed down like Obelisk? I think DME has the version on its system. Really poor version of Ra. It has no immunities' date=' its effects still cost a lot, and its not worth playing [the deck its allowed in is preset so you cant even take advantage']... Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
Even with IRS, this card is still fail. Only one decent effect has ever been made for Obelisk, and this isn't it. [spoiler=Obelisk's Good Effect]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 monsters you control to the Graveyard. This card is not affected by card effects, except the monster effects of DIVINE Divine-Beast-Type monsters. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. Once per turn, you can tribute 2 monsters you control to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. THIS CARD IS EPIC FAIL. Even with the existence of IRS. Mr. Judgment Dragon
Your right. That effect is terribad. Not worth it. What about the OTK revolved around it? You know, tribute 2 Monsters to blast your opponents monsters plus 4000 damage and then swing for game. Of course the immunity from spell and trap cards as well. killer800
i have all three egyption gods (like many of u lot) so does my best mate but is it true u can pay 1000 lp and give ra infinate attack for a turn? and can u combine re and slifer and that monster will have an infinate attack? Mr. Judgment Dragon
NO WAY. 1000 Life Points for infinite ATK for Ra. Its more like 1000 life points to destroy a card or a monster. I WANT 3 OF EACH GOD CARD. I want to build a God Card FTK if its possible or even a Ra FTK. No you cant combine the God cards for Infinite ATK. Thats an anime only effect. There is a Fusion and that has Infinite ATK.
