In Need of Feedback

Okay, so this is for a comic or novel idea, I havn't decided which I would prefer to use.

 

Title: The Lust for Blood [subject to change]

Genre: Vampiric Medieval Fantasy

Recurring Characters: 13

Time/Place: Medieval (AD 500 - 1509) Europe, 1480.

 

Ferrel has been hunting things since he was a small boy, he hunted small things and big, evil and innocent. All of what he had done, in search for the 'Silex o Cruor', the Hard Stone of Bloodshed, the stone is the life-force of humans, the burden of a half-breed, and true immortality for vampires. Other legends spoke of how it gave any creature eternal life, or how it could revive the dead. Ferrel attained it after years and years of rigorous work. Only to find that the latter legends were untrue, and although the Stone was in his possession, he had no use for it. It could only be given to creatures naught of the human race by one of the human race.

Being burdened with the Silex o Cruor has attracted many more demonic creatures, forcing him to become a Hunter, or else perish at the hands of these shadowed beings.

Some of the shadowed beings who would come after him, were much harder to destroy. Vampires. And one specific, lifeless Clan was one Ferrel had never hoped to see again. The Nyei Clan is after the Stone, and are relentless, for them the ends always justify the means - and they don't really care about justification either way.

Ferrel must now put his life on the line, something he would never do for a living person let alone a stone, to keep the Silex o Cruor out of the hands of his familiar foes. Ferrel will be forced to ally with some, and kill others - all because of the Silex o Cruor.

 

How does Ferrel know the Nyei Clan? Why was he forced the burden of the Silex o Cruor? Comment to find out more.

Yeah, couldn't give too much away in the ways of plot, but here's the basic summary. I'm really bad at summarizing things, but please comment/crit/rate/give suggestions.

Sorry I couldn't find this thread until now. I like the story so far but, and if for your feedback I'll have to say Novel as well. Unless your a real good comic artist, the I would like to see that.

In all honesty I can't see it being novel material, not that it's a bad story, just more suited for a comic. However of course it's in your hands.
