Signature/Banner Question

Ok, I don't really know if this is in the right section or not, and if it's not, please either move, lock, or delete this thread.

 

Ok, I just want to know what Renders are. I've been seeing a lot of cool signatures in the graphic art's section and I wanted to make a reqeust, but I don't know what a lot of the stuff is. Like renders. What are renders?

Renders are where you cut a Image you like out of the Picture. Most people use Photoshop for this. Say you had a nice picture of Yugi but the Background Sucked. Rendering would take the Background away leaving you with Yugi on a Transparent Background.

Ok I understand it a little better. But what if you had a really big picture' date=' would it still be able to fit into a 450 x 100 banner? Still a little confused, what would you do if you wanted to shrink [b']and[/b] render your picture. Would you be able to do that?

Well you Render the Pic first, then in Photoshop or Gimp you can Scale the Image or Render to a Size you feel comfortable with. I usually have it so Half of the Render is in the Sigs I make.

if the render is to big you may have to scale it and move it around a lot before it fits, but rendering is very easy[if you need a render i do them for like 5-10 points]
