Skulking in the shadows, unseen and undetected, Zexion made his way through the various corridors of the fortress he now found himself in.

'Interesting...a rather large castle considering he's the only scent here. What could he need this for?'

The scent caught him again, and he knew he was close. Encircling himself in a flurry of ethereal pages, he cloaked his presence completely and disguised himself as part of the wall.

'There he is...' he thought to himself. 'Zero...'

The man was muttering to himself as he walked past Zexion, not even realizing the schemer lay hidden.

'Clearly...' he thought. 'I'm going to need some better "ears"' And with that, a small, barely noticeable page fluttered through the air, several feet above Zero's head, and began discreetly absorbing the man's speech to be played back later. Zexion smiled.

'Still got it.'

His "eyes" watched ever-so-carefully. His "ears" picked up every bit of sound. His nostrils picked up the scent of the man, allowing the schemer to maintain constant following. But now he detected the scent of a rising pressure of blood - slight, but not too slight. Apprehension. Suspicion. he needed a distraction.

The Lavender-Haired man snapped his fingers and in moments, Dusks flooded the halls running about and laying waste to whatever they laid their banded hand upon, just as their summoner mentally commanded them to.

As soon as Zero's attention was drawn to this sudden intrusion, Zexion recovered the pages that had been following the man.

'I suppose that's enough Spying for one day' he thought as he carefully made his way out, cloaked in his disguise, with Zero far too preoccupied with the sudden appearance of the Dusks to notice any change in the presence around him.

Zero stood silent for a moment as the Dusks moved closer toward him

Silently, he gave the Dusks a command to stop, and they instantly obeyed

"Very sneaky Zexion, but I thought you would know better by now"

And all the schemer could do was grin, perched lazily on a tree branch.

"Oh, of coarse I did." He said to himself as he read Zero's words, appearing within his Lexicon even as he was saying them. "Oh Zero...you may have my abilities, but you do not have my mind." He chuckled dryly to himself. Of coarse the Dusks would stop as soon as the command was given. They were Dusks, after all. They weren't his personal followers. No, their purpose was simply to buy time.

'If I guessed right, Zero will have figured it was me - someone he couldn't detect and then suddenly Dusks appear? Who else? However...with my obvious escape, he probably doesn't suspect that I left a page behind...he'll discover it in time, to be sure, but for now he still thinks I'm hiding nearby.'

He read aloud to himself as new words appeared: "Zexion, keep hiding if you must. Play your game. I'll find you eventually."

"Hmm...but the game is already done. I have my spy in your midst. I'll have gained plenty of information by the time you find that one page, and I've already relocated and hidden my presence."

Zexion clearly enjoyed talking to himself.

"But for now, I'll listen to this." And the schemer began to playback all the speech his page had managed to record before his departure.

ooc: ^^ Zeroes powerful, and smart, no denying that Clari - but bear in mind Zexy IS an evil genius. =P He's gotta be able to out-think Zero, even if just for a little bit.
