Junk Raver
My argument is ignorance is not an excuse' date=' being harsh means they improve quicker[/quote'] Q4 SERIOUS E If New members did the intelligent thing before posting of reading the rules and stickied help threads, there would be no need for them to spam and ask a large amount of questions. I do not see with whats wrong about knocking people who dont use common sense. There's a difference between correcting someone and just being a total a-hole. When you have like 4 members all insulting a new member, that's not needed. When you have 6 members saying " WRONG SECTION! READ THE RULES NOOB " That's not needed. Most of these people bashing newbies are mini-mods ( Something not encouraged ) and kids trying to looks cooler. Most of the time you're just driving members away. It's not hard to explain to someone and be nice once in a while. One person is harsh then everyone thinks it's okay to flame new members. If someone asks one innocent question in wrong section you have no right to flame them. In other words, stop getting carried away. Says the guy who hardly ever posts and one who doesnt deal with the increase of this behaviour by new members. Indeed you are partially correct, but you cannot deny Tkill, that they lack common sense, and need to see reason.

You should try because being an a* won't help as many people as it will hurt which is the point of this thread. You don't need to give them a paragraph but it's not hard to give them something not so rude.

If you care so much about this point, and seeing as you seem to have an urge to help members, perhaps coming on more and showing people the way? It would help would it not ^_^ And during my busy times, i have no time to do anything but check the Mod Forum for news, and quite recently my busy times have zoomed. It means absolutely nothing to be a 5 start member except you posted a lot. And " If they want respect, they must show respect " If you don't respect them first, why should they respect you? And okay, I'm done with this thread now :/
J-Max
Seriously you two.... You're Super Mods for goodness sake! Luckily when i first signed up I had experience in Forums so fitted in quickly. And indeed TKill Post COunt means Jack. This is part of the reason I am fighting to get Introductions to not count as posts. Remember people this is just a forum "You give to recieve" Take a couple f the Newbies under your wing and help them. You may just have the next Legend in the making. Pikachu
if you two mods want a fight, do it in Pm, that's what you always saidbesides, have you even noticed a noob? they could just join a contest, or show their stuff in the graphics section, they're lost. it's a bit like you in a desert you just have to get used to it so remember, you were once a noob too (even me)
Mr. Judgment Dragon
I dont think Ive ever spammed this forum since being a new member. I've flamed yes, but spammed, no way. I see a lot of people (mostly new members) post spam all over the place and I'm really getting sick of it. I think harshness to new members who cant be bothered reading the rules is rather necessary. SebastiaanZ
Members are indeed sometimes hard at newbies. I like the idea of an pm, send to a new member at the moment they register with a link to the rules and important threads they should read first, the best. I'll never flame or be hard against newbies unless they give me a damn good reason for doing it. And seriously Dj and Tkill, you two sound like a married old couple that have lived together for to long. :D
