Gogeta™
I'v been noticing when a newbi asks a question (in this forum mainly) or post in the wrong place high level users tend to be to hard on them. Iv also seen new users get neg rep just for spaming. I know this problem is being handled with the new rule but still it happens. Im just saying be a tad nicer to new users and explain stuff in a nice way. Thats all I would like to say. Thank you for taking the time to read this. ~Mage of Black Chaos
J-Max
YCMaker brought in a rule regarding treatment of Newbies, But some People seem to find a Obsession in knocking a person down for the smallest things. I think that it's **cough* To raise Post count *cough* also the fact I see the SAME people having a snap at the Newbies. If you are going to report then just report. Willieh
Whenever I see a newbie with a neg rep for spamming (unless there are MULTIPLE as in SEVERAL) I normally give them a positive rep to cancel it out. :| It is kind of prick-ish to give new new new members a neg rep for spam. Mr. Judgment Dragon
My argument is ignorance is not an excuse' date=' being harsh means they improve quicker [/quote']Q4E. Ive had like 14 neg reps since being a new member (mostly for flaming), some were deserved, some werent but I improved and earnt every one of them back and now I have over 20 pos rep. Newbies improve quicker if we older users are harsh on them like JoC said. Im an example.
Junk Raver
My argument is ignorance is not an excuse' date=' being harsh means they improve quicker[/quote'] Q4 SERIOUS E If New members did the intelligent thing before posting of reading the rules and stickied help threads, there would be no need for them to spam and ask a large amount of questions. I do not see with whats wrong about knocking people who dont use common sense.

JesusofChaos™
It is a terrible idea, we have 100s of sign ups a day and very few of them post, thus making it a waste of time
Mr. Judgment Dragon
If new users cant take the Neg Reps for their wrongs, learn to read the rules or take criticisms they shouldnt sign up for this site in the first place.
Huntar!
Ok.. we should not have to explain things to noobs. They shoud have enough common sense to read the site rules, then obey them.

Guest JoshIcy
I dont see how they cant see the right section.. All the required sections are at the top. How they miss them is beyond me.... Treating them badly is a result of their lack of common sense. Which justifies JoC's earlier statement beyond belief >_>
Gogeta™
These are all good points but there are some peopel who just dont think about what there doing and they dont mean to make mistakes but it happens. Im just saying let them off with nutral reps before you go for negative rep. Im just saying 5 warnings before you go negative or get hard on them. Tkill93
There's a difference between correcting someone and just being a total a-hole. When you have like 4 members all insulting a new member, that's not needed. When you have 6 members saying " WRONG SECTION! READ THE RULES NOOB " That's not needed. Most of these people bashing newbies are mini-mods ( Something not encouraged ) and kids trying to looks cooler. Most of the time you're just driving members away. It's not hard to explain to someone and be nice once in a while. One person is harsh then everyone thinks it's okay to flame new members. If someone asks one innocent question in wrong section you have no right to flame them. In other words, stop getting carried away.
