Yubel Deck

Recommended Posts

the reason i said doom shaman is because when runnin yubel' date=' you run armageddon knights, a dark grepher and swing of memories w/ it. Remember, doom shaman is a normal in the grave. that way, all u need do is dis him for dark grepher, get yubel in the grave, swing him back, normal summon him, revive yubel and end ur turn.

I'm pretty comfy with how it is now. Those changes would call for a complete deck overhaul, my friend, and I tend to prefer originality over a commonly used deck formula, if I can. Plus, all ending your turn after summoning Yubel would do is cause you to sacrafise a monster for her. You can't summon Terror Incarnate with Doom Shaman. The deck already does a fine job of getting out Yubel quickly - ask anyone I've played with it (Von Findlay, Exiro, JoC).

you know that destiny hero-plasma could wipe this deck clean?

If my opponent can even get the monsters on the field to summon it. Terror Incarnate does a pretty good job of keeping control. And if they do summon it' date=' well, there is a reason Solemn Judgment is here.

Mystic Tomatoes are meh in Yubel. Yes, they can summon him, but they can't kill him, so you have to tribute at the end of the turn or waste another card to do so.

Also, Armageddon Knight followed by Limit Reverse.

=/ Well, for starters, you only need to tribute for Yubel during your End Phase, not your opponent's. If I do tribute anything, I have plenty of Zoma, Reflect Slime, and Devil's Sanctuary to provide the necessary tribute fodder. But usually, I'm ready to destroy Yubel as soon as I get her and move up to Terror Incarnate.

Limit Reverse is for later on, when she's already in the Graveyard and my opponent gets rid of any Yubel on the field - it isn't my primary method of Summoning. But it works quite nicely in response to Spell/Trap destruction.

._. I'm a little disappointed that enough people aren't properly seeing the way this deck works.

If ur gonna run trap monsters put a Stronghold the Moving Fortress and Embiodment of Apopothis

All I need is Reflect Slime and Zoma - they work as decent defense, are easy tribute fodder, and each have a purpose: Slime provides power to Calculator while Zoma provides Yubel-esque burn damage, as well as offense if it's allowed to.

Stronghold and Apophis aren't near useful enough for this deck.

After several try-outs on what cards should be removed, I made the necessary edits to the deck - Treeborn Frog was nixed, since I almost always have Spells/Traps on the field and can't make good use of him. Zoma is the more useful Trap monster so I dropped one Reflect Slime.

Then I added that CCV, and also Torrential Tribute (which proved very useful when playtested on DMU).

Fixes haveth been MADE.

Old deck is old, but this was the first GOOD Yubel deck I can remember ever being on this site.

In fact, after I made this, I started seeing a lot of Yubel decks popping up.

Anyway, I'm only bumping this to point out that I'm trading Staunch Defenders for Battle Mania as soon as its released.
