This guide has been created to help with all around new members and members who have questions.

 

How to...

 

Earn Points

 

To earn points you can either post a lot [DO NOT SPAM!], or enter contests. Your earn points for posts basically ^^.

 

Earn Reps

 

The "Reputation System" is used to show how popular or liked a certain member is. To earn reps, you have to be a nice, kind, and friendly member. Sometimes you get reps from making the best cards. I have seen some members who are like evil but have 40+ reps. This is because they EARNED their reps from contests. I do not completely agree with this, but it is not in my power to change it.

 

Basically, you can earn "Reputation" by contests as well. If you win a contest you can earn reps or points. You earn "Reps" from being a kind, nice, and friendly member as well. So be the best that you can be ^^.

 

There are "Rep Spammers" who randomly give out reps [+ or -] for no reason. Doing this is discouraged. People who are caught "Rep Spamming" are labeled as "Rep Spammers".

 

Post Cards

 

Cards are to be posted according to their types:

 

Realistic Cards - Cards that are balanced with good ocg that have potential to be real cards.

Any Other Cards - You put cards here that are overpowered or have bad ocg [broken], or tribute cards for other members.

Pop Culture - You put cards here that are based of a movie or tv show, or even another card game. Basically something that has already been made.

Written Cards - Post cards that haven't been made into an actual card yet [as in you haven't written the effect on a card or the picture, just what you have thought up as an effect so far]. Not many members post there, but it's mostly graded on ocg.

Finished Cards / Sets - A card or set that has been completely finished to your full ability.

Contest - Whenever you feel like hosting a competition or entering for the prize, come here. It is usually a competition of the best cards you will probably ever see ^^.

 

This is how I post cards using IMG tags.

 

1) Right click on preview card [your card image in ycm] and click on save.

2) Go to www.tinypic.com and click on upload image.

3) Select the card you saved.

4) Copy the IMG tag.

5) Paste the IMG tag in your post.

 

Then, you have a card ^^

 

Most cardmakers are lazy and won't comment on your card unless you have IMG tags, so watch out >.>

 

Become Well Known and Respected

 

It is very hard to become well known and respected. To become respected, you usually have to have a high amount of "Reps" or be a very good cardmaker / person / friend. There are some people whom just about everyone has heard of [EX: Bloodrun / Hunter / Shinigami / Frunk]. The same to become well known, post in threads and be kind to other members.

 

To Get High Ratings on Your Cards

 

To get high ratings on your cards you have to have many things.

 

1) A good picture [no white borders or blurryness]

- For a good picture, I usually go to www.deviantart.com and search for good pictures.

2) Good ocg. [grammar]

3) No elementary effects [EX: Flip: Destroy 1 card on the field - You'd get a low rating because it is so basic!]

4) Not overpowered / underpowered.

5) REALISTIC

 

Sometimes you have a completely awesome card but no one posts in it. Make the title of the thread more interesting, like LOOK HERE FOR THE BEST CARD IN THE WORLD! then more or likely more people will look ^^.

 

Things Not to do

 

1) Spam

2) Flame

3) Swear

4) Double post [or triple or quadriple or etc...]

5) Rep Spam

6) Be mean ='{
