This card speeds up any deck that splashes it in - if you honestly think that mill (or Dark World or Burn or whatever you were thinking of) is the only thing that would use it, you're wrong - and punishes good play (i.e. maintaining advantage) while rewarding bad play (i.e. overextending). It's a reset button for the hand. It can effortlessly generate theoretically limitless advantage.

Here's an example

 

Your opponent has been dominating the duel has 5-6 cards in his hands you have 0 cards in your hand you draw Morphing jar and set him. Next turn your opponent attacks and boom bye bye the cards in his hand(He draws 5 new cards) and you get 5 free cards

also use this card in darkworld and discard goldd and/or silva with his effect then you get a fresh hand and 1-3 or 4 monsters out and if you have broww then it's more cards in hand

 

This and probably more is why Morphing jar is banworthy

Where Konami has placed it is irrelevant. Konami lives to demonstrate its stupidity.

 

The fact that it resets the opponent's hand as well is half the problem. That's why it can generate more and more advantage depending on the opponent's play; if it only reset your hand, it could not exceed a +5. In fact, the better the opponent is playing, the more it rewards you.

 

Flips become stronger in a better format, where the field-nukers are banned, NoC is at 0, and we've left this stupid Hyper-Aggro format that we've essentially been stuck in since Cyber Dragon was released.

Yeah, what you meant was that everyone should be forced to use up space in their deck or side deck on random Dark World monsters because somebody might use this.

 

Last time I checked, D.D. Crow doesn't make Sinister Serpent any less banworthy.

I love how you just make up nonsense like this. Out of the 56 cards that Konami has currently Limited, only 18 actually deserve to be banned. That's less than one-third.

 

Also, I have given a cohesive argument for why Morphing Jar is bad for the game. You basically just said "LOL DEAL WITH IT!!!!1!".
