I've heard enough of:

 

"wtf they changed the picture"

Deal with it.

 

They aren't going to release everything in the OCG to those people who play the TCG.

 

Yeah, I do wish we had some of the OCG only cards, but I'm not complaining about it.

 

And seriously. Does the name of a card make any difference in playing it?

@HORUS: Well, with 4kids, it's botching stuff that matters. But I agree with the card stuff. What does it matter that "Bloo-D" changed to "Plasma," or that "Gaius" changed to "Caius?"

This is why YCM should never be listened to as a group. As a group, YCM believes things that're obviously wrong - this is because the majority of YCMers believe wrong things.

Reading the card tends to help you tell the difference between "silly fanlation" and "actual card name".

 

The actual OCG name of "Jinzo" is "Jinzouningen - Psycho Shocker". Coincedentally, the OCG names of the other "Jinzo" monsters follow that same pattern - Returner is Psycho Returner, Lord is Psycho Lord.

 

None of those monsters are "Android" monsters. Something like "Magical Android" would be an "Android" monster, because it actually says "Magical Android" as its name.

You'd be surprised how many people who care too much about their fan translations... complained when those changes happened.

 

To anyone with a brain, "Bloo-D" and "Plasma" give exactly the SAME connotation - human blood.

 

To anyone with a brain, "Gaius" and "Caius" give the same connotation - Julius Caesar's middle name, in two varying romanizations that're equally viable in the academia.

High rarities keep players hunting for certain cards; these higher sales that come from the hunt... assist the TCG and permit it to do more for the players than the OCG.

 

All those Organized Play events' date=' and those Sneak Previews too... they cost a lot.

Seriously, you do come across as being that silly when you say "identity" like that, as if there's any "identity" conveyed by ANY CARDS AT ALL.

 

That said, yes, TCGers are unimportant to Shueisha and Konami.

 

OCGers are just as unimportant. The only reason OCGers get their exclusive cards... is because Shueisha's willing to spend the amount required to ship exclusive cards to OCG regions.

 

It'd cost more to send here, so they don't do it until UDE pokes the hell out of them, which takes YEARS of arguing and red tape navigation.

 

As for Konami's own OCG exclusives, well, it's pretty much the same as Shueisha does - they don't send some things over, because some things over there just DON'T sell over here, AND the companies are bound by red tape that forces the TCG to receive cards in the same way as the OCG does a good amount of the time.

I agree with Pharoh on a few things. Yes, Jinzo would never count as an android monster. There's no reason to complain about cards we don't have, we will eventually have them. Yugioh comes from Japan, so making cards exclusively for us would probably get Japan angry.

The Name could change SOME things, but not too many where the whole game is terminated and completely changed. Jinzo and/or Jinzo-Lord will never be a roid monster. They will always be what they be, DARK Machine-Types with Overpowered effects. Yes, I love Jinzo, but all the cards I love are perhaps overpowered.

IF TCG exclusives were only released in Japan, so? People, we already have many cards here. Thousands. Japan will eventually ship these cards. Think about it. Yugioh in Japan started in 1999. Yugioh in America started in 2002. So, it'll take a while for these cards to come, but it's worth the wait.

You who say they NEED it realize that what they NEED is a children's Card Game, which most of us will give up the game and continue on with our lives in a few years...

The only thing you NEED in life is:Water,Shelter,Food.

Everything else is a privlidge.

They didn't have to start the game in America but they did, quit being selfish.

Fine, Konami nerfing OCG Structure Decks that come over here. In any case, I don't like missing out on those SD commons. Oh well, UDE needs the money to host all those fun events. :/
