UDE = 4Kids

Recommended Posts

Konami of Japan - and Shueisha - are the companies that make the game.

UDE does nothing but print and distribute, while also administering elements of Organized Play.

Both KoJ and Shueisha are companies that do not have strong grips on the current acceptable societal norms in the world abroad.

Conversely, UDE has a better grip on such things, seeing how it has a stronger worldwide presence.

UDE tells Konami and Shueisha "yeah, we don't need to censor this. We advise you don't, as it's a waste of time to do so."

K and S say "nah, we admire your effort, but we know better." They don't.

Are they also the ones who print the English cards?

why not just target it at an older audiance

Yugioh cards were designed to be targetted at teenagers' date='but the US system wanted their children to grow up learning the [i']decent[/i] things & not the TRUTH OF THE WORD.

I love how everyone is completely missing the point of this topic.

A shame that not everyone is' date=' then - the point is to repeatedly shred your erroneous claims.

SD14 vs. SDDE <- Why does TCG have to suck ass?

Or, if better worded: Why does UDE make is suck ass?

Who said UDE had any ACTUAL control over the Structure Modifications?

There's no proof one way or the other about it.

Further, the SDDE deck's changes have less overlap with other TCG products anyway.

Instead of selling two copies of the same card in the same place, thereby causing folks to always go for the cheaper or more guaranteed form... folks have to go for the one single source of each card. It's basic economics, and the profits are what keep Organized Play viable.

I e-mailed UDE, we'll see what they say in a few weeks.

It won't make any difference.

Either 1) they have control, in which case the control they have ACTUALLY makes the Deck better for the game by helping to keep Organized Play, Sneak Previews, and all that other stuff going,

-OR-

2) they don't have control, meaning that they can't possibly have any guilt for doing anything wrong.

I know, I probably won't.

And with how Atem is stacking up, I probably lost anyway.
