Tactical Evolution! Discussion

Recommended Posts

Do you HAVE to duel in it? Can sombody who has actually been to a sneak preview answer me?

No, you actually have to pay extra money to do so.

Im not so excited for Tactical Evolution, the set looks about as good as Force of the breaker (which I found to be very unplayable). Though pulling Thousand eyes jellyfish for my binder would be very very cool :).

Found This On Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia

Introduction

Tactical Evolution (TAEV) is the 26th booster pack released in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It is the largest GX generation booster, with 80 cards. It introduces a new category of monster like Toons, Unions and Spirits — Gemini Monsters, as well as a new mechanic: Second Summon. The ratio of Ultra Rare cards gets increased, and there will be a new rarity above Ultimate Rare. Given the information with Gladiator's Assault, it will be called "Holographic Rare". (Unlike previous sets, however, only Ultra Rares will be available as Ultimate Rares.) It also releases Jesse Anderson's famous monster "Rainbow Dragon". Anime fans will be confident with the content. There is also appearances of cards used by Professor Viper. There is also more Elemental Hero monsters and supports, New Neo-Spacians like the Chrysalis monsters. Also, new Alien supports.

It has been confirmed that the American Version of the booster will have 10 more cards[1] than the Japanese Version, giving the US Booster a total of 90 cards.

1) Yup' date=' Northern Jersey

2) I can't wait for TAEV and GLAS, no matter how good and/or bad they are. They both are really good and cool sets.

They all have Cool cards, but not really that many playable ones. Dual Summon will not replace snatch steal and to be quite honest, those Holo Cloud cards are some trippy sheet.

For your info, whoever is asking. This is how a Sneak Preview works:

You pay £12.50 or so.

You receive 5 packs + the promo card.

You make a deck of 20 or more cards, the rest make a side deck. If there is no way to summon the fusion monsters, they become tribute monsters instead and go into your main deck.

You play rounds, depending on how many people are there. You get prizes on how well you placed.

The cards are not legal until the 1st of the next month - September.

And this is when Rainbow Dragon will be restricted to 1. ^_^

The set kinda blows, but the main reason that it's ok, is because of the Crystal Fortune Teller, a key card for monarchs using the apprentice engine.
