How does agreeing with a certain opinion (other than yours' date=' obviously) make people bad players?

It depends upon the opinion you agree with. If the opinion you hold to just-so-happens to NOT be supported by fact, you are made worse a player for holding to those opinions.

So, because the facts make the case that Bribe's drawback is in-fact much easier to bear than Solemn's, your opinion gets shot all to ribbons, and you are made bad for it.

You see, whether or not I support an opinion... is irrelevant. The facts are what deem who is good and who is bad. The only reason that it LOOKS LIKE my support seems to decide who is good and who is bad... is because it's merely a matter of convenience - when I know the facts, I stick with them.

Thanks for pointing that out, but I don't think that's how to decide if a player is good or bad.

A good player would become a bad player all of a sudden when he claims something that happens not to be supported by facts, and bad players could recover their status easily be simply stating something that is supported by facts or agreeing with something that is supported by facts.

It would be more likely that a player becomes bad or good slowly, based on ALL his opinions together, not just one at a time. How frequently he duels would also count because that makes an impact on how many times he would avoid typical misplays.

The thing with these is that you have to weigh your deck's advantages and disadvantages, which in turn create the cards' pros and cons. Some decks can't afford to give their opponents cards, so Solemn Judgment would be superior. Others need life-point preservation, so they would prefer to use Dark Bribe. As both cards are (to the lightest possible degree) situational, it is impossible to make a global judgment. Both cards are extremely useful, however, and don't necessarily rule each other out. If in doubt, run both.
