Our first contestant we have today is the infamous Solemn Judgment. He has the power to say GOD SAYS NO! and the ability to negate an activation of a Spell / Trap Card / Normal Summon / Flip Summon / Special Summon and destroy the Spell Card, Trap Card, or Summoned monster, by an easy price of half your current Life Points.

On the other hand, we have the cool and sleek, sort of new, Dark Bribe. Also known as Dark Shrine Bribery in the anime, this card can do some serious damage by negation the activation and effect of an opponent's Spell or Trap Card and destroying it. All for your opponent drawing 1 card.

Whats your choice?[/align]

Even if it couldn't negate summons' date=' Solemn was still far superior.

YCM is filled with bad players, in part, because folks actually believe stuff like what I've just quoted as an example here.

YCM is also filled with Geeks who take Card Games far too seriously, just like what I've quoted as an example here.

It's impossible to take a game seriously when you don't even play, and mostly just laugh when folks do stupid things concerning it, or believe stupid things concerning it.

If anything, the person who takes a matter seriously is the person who doesn't do any of the laughing - and really, it's when people do or say stupid things, or take things too seriously, that we laugh all the way to the bank.

Hence why I'm laughing now. I was laughing that someone was fool enough to post something as outright stupid as what he posted, but you're obviously so perturbed and otherwise bothered by my commentary when, frankly, you damn well shouldn't be.

Yeah, he's a bad player. Yeah, I told him so to his face, and made note that YCM is filled with a similar quality, with few-to-no exceptions. So what? It's true, and if folks can't handle the truth, they care too much about the game and/or their own little deluded ideas, and deserved to be laughed at *for* being so silly as to care too much about the game and/or their own little deluded ideas.

As for the "geek" part, I'll just tell you that it doesn't work either. "jabroni" would be a better fit, definitely - "geek" just doesn't work, and you know it unless you don't even know what the word even means.

So, I'll do your job for you and fix what you said.

YCM is also filled with bastards who are far too mean to the gentle' date=' kind, much-more-well-liked-because-they-don't-tell-the-truth-as-often-or-in-as-harsh-a-way remainder of the members, just like what I've quoted as an example here.

Muwahaha, thanx ^_^

You helped me prove a point to a friend, i said you would reply back with long interlectual / formal sounding comments in order to make yourself seem 'higher'

I was right muwhaha ^_^

And 'Geek' is just a slang that i use, many others use, randomly, are you British? if so you should be acustom to our long list of all things slang, if your not british, your most likly thinking 'wtf', and you have a right to.

He isn't a Bad Player just because you don't agree with him. In his opion the the downside of Solemn isn't as bad for you as the Downside of Dark Bribe.

Unlike everybody esle I say Dark Bribe. Darb Bribe first Negates than lets your opponent draw. So if Dark Bribe is Negated your opponent doesn't draw. With Solemn you lose Half Your Life Points even if it gets negated. The fact that your Life Points are cut is quite risky with the all the Swarm Decks lately. You Half your Life points for 1 card and the Lightsworm Deck still has enough Cards in Hand to Bring Out monsters with more than 4000 ATK + Monsters to Destroy your Monsters / Spell or Trap to Destroy your Monsters

Wow, very strong arguments you have there.

It also shows me a lot of misplays I made (I though the draw was a cost).

@Atem: How does agreeing with a certain opinion (other than yours, obviously) make people bad players?

Nah, I'm from Ohio. We haven't heard that word here in years - decades, really. Maybe even centuries.

He isn't a Bad Player just because you don't agree with him.

I never said that THAT is what made him bad.

I never specified or implied any one factor as to what makes him bad, aside from believing what I quoted.

Nor did I specify WHY his believing that... happened to make him bad.

Don't jump to assumptions.

In his opion the the downside of Solemn isn't as bad for you as the Downside of Dark Bribe.

So what? His opinion can be as misguided as possible.

For example' date=' I could say "in my opinion, 'Sentinel of the Seas' is not an obsolete card."

In that case, my opinion would not be in line with the facts. The facts say that "Sentinel of the Seas" is indeed obsolete.

Opinions can indeed be wrong, when rooted in things that do not agree with the facts. This is one such case - his opinion is rooted in falsehoods.

[/quote']

How does agreeing with a certain opinion (other than yours' date=' obviously) make people bad players?

[/quote']

It depends upon the opinion you agree with. If the opinion you hold to just-so-happens to NOT be supported by fact, you are made worse a player for holding to those opinions.

So, because the facts make the case that Bribe's drawback is in-fact much easier to bear than Solemn's, your opinion gets shot all to ribbons, and you are made bad for it.

You see, whether or not I support an opinion... is irrelevant. The facts are what deem who is good and who is bad. The only reason that it LOOKS LIKE my support seems to decide who is good and who is bad... is because it's merely a matter of convenience - when I know the facts, I stick with them.

They're very similar cards, both good, but I'd have to go with Solemn just because it can also stop summons and although its cost can be devestating at times, it shouldn't be if you activate it at low LP or and/or you have a finishing blow prepared soon. I'd have to say that it also would depend somewhat on your deck, if OTK, Solemn, if you run any deck that's more stally and doesn't like to end things quickly, I'd go with Bribe. It won't dramatically effect you if you choose 1 over the other though, they're both good.
