Tribute (Sacrifice in the OCG' date=' soon to be changed to Release) is usually a way of voluntarily sending a card from the field to the Graveyard, often used to activate a card effect or perform a Summon.

Some examples include:

* Monsters being Tributed for a Tribute Summon.

* "Exiled Force" Tributing itself in order to activate its effect to destroy one monster on the field.

* Ritual Monsters requiring their corresponding Ritual Spell Card and a Tribute of Monster Cards whose total Level is greater than or equal to the Level of the Ritual Monster in order for it to be summoned to the field.

When Tributing for a card effect, the Tribute(s) are considered Costs, which means players cannot respond to the Tributes with card effects, since paying a Cost has no Spell Speed. This also means that Tributes occur before the activation of the effect that they are being Tributed for.

While Tributing a monster for a Tribute Summon is not technically considered a Cost, the Tributed monster still leaves the field before a player can respond to the action.

Destroy

When you Destroy a Card, it is removed from the field and, unless specified otherwise, sent to the Graveyard. [b']Monsters Tributed for a Tribute Summon are not considered Destroyed.[/b]

Most cards removing Spell and Trap Cards from the field will destroy them, except for a few like Giant Trunade. In that case, cards are returned to the hand of the players, and in case of an effect, for example Toon World, where Toon Monsters are destroyed when Toon World is destroyed, the Toon Monsters are unaffected by the card effect.

Note that there is a difference between Destroying a card, and simply 'sending' it to the Graveyard. For example, Woodland Sprite's effect.

This deck is about as bad as a user who once thought he could place monsters in face down attack position.

But I thought the original point of this was him to have a duel with his club or something, not to rate... But it was moved here by a mod, and no everyone thinks to rate it... Or am I wrong.
