Erm, maybe if smoking was illegal, yeah, but governments are too tightass to do something like that.

Wouldn't it be an idea if:

 

1. Charge all smokers with man slaughter (passive smoking kills other people so..)

2. Ban smoking worldwide and promote the use of nicotin gum.

3. All drugs must be seen as illegal to use and import (some countries allow softdrugs!)

 

1. True, but I wouldn't consider it manslaughter. Just murder. (same thing practically.)

2. That will never happen. If it does, it will be just like the time alcohol was illegal in the States and people just made moonshine and the cops had there hands full dealing with that when there where real crimes happening else where. (Like murder, theft, etc.)

3. Drugs can help people. When you go to a doctor and you are sick, he perscibes drugs to you to help make you better.

You have a point there, nicotine is also used as a medicine to treat various problems like snakebite. And it is true, banning smoking will never happen also because the cigarette industry is very powerful.

Its called reverse psycology (I know I spelt that wrong).

 

And yes, they think because they are teens, they are invincible to any side-effects of smoking, drinking, doing drugs, etc. and think they have complete control of the situation when they just don't. And like HORUS said, they think if they do somethink illegal, they will seem badass infront of their friends.
