J-Max
I played through Sonic 3 & Knuckles for the Genesis today and it reminds me how great games were in those days. Those were the days where Sonic & Mario actually meant something. Sure games of today are great today but they can`t beat the classics.
Atomix
Thats true, without the classics, theres no Videogame ^_^
Brushfire
That's true. Recently, I played Pokemon Diamond, I got bored of it and played Blue instead. The Classics were the awesome ones... the ones that started it all ^.^
Guest KAJN
Yup I know what you mean. There are games like Chase the Express which was weirdly abandoned by it's owner. Weird huh? but I think my point is all things are precious and need to be kept safely.
J-Max
I know! Take New Super Mario Bros for the DS. Sure it`s a great Mario game but Super Mario World nailed the premise perfectly! I`m going to play Chrono Trigger later today. I hear it`s a RPG classic.
Guest KAJN
There is this game called SEGA collection. It's all about old games. You should buy it if you want old things.
J-Max
To be honest I play them on my Modded Xbox. lol I just can`t or not want to fork out cash for older consoles ;)
2sick4u
Bah. I agree.I've got a sega on top of my playstation thingo; Simply to show whose dominant. ^__^.Personally; I don't believe there not the same, to be straight up, I think they've gotten down right retarded. (Sorry for the choice of word =].) I mean music games? A virtual version of battle of the bands. Just great; More reason to kick the crap out of getting outside. If you think about something like the Wii, all it does is prove that I am completely right. It tries to keep you fit by running with a remote in your hand. Seriously; It's technology like this that makes us probably look stupid to aliens. The classic remake video game industry is nothing more than a cow teat, being milked for every last drop. OH! and I've played chrono trigger. If it's the ps1 game in my head; It's down right awesome. ^__^.2sick~

Guest JoshIcy
most classics are better... But my question is what happened to the old school 'finger burners'?... thats why the classics are fun to me ^_^ they make your hand move faster the controller can make your character move lulz
Guest KAJN
Well S.B.M.G. you know that there are torrents which don't cost a penny. But it's great having old things.
J-Max
I do like those "Finger Burners" But I end up using a coin and cheating. lol.

MarbleZone
Sonic the Hedgehog > Every other game. Seriously, Sega Genesis had the sickest games I ever played. Sure, MGS3, NFS, Final Fantasy, etc, all those rock and aere incredibly well done, but there's something about Sonic, Comix Zone, Golden Axe... Well, I hope when I'm like 50 years old, TV sets will still have a connection port for the Genesis. :P Best thing I did was "acquire" the Sega Genesis Collection for PS2. ;)
Umbra
Sega Mega Drive Collection for the PSP. Man, that was as good as a collection gets. It had both the Sonic games, Phantasy Star, VF2, and ALTERED BEAST! (And a bunch of other games asw.)
MarbleZone
Yeah, that's the one O'm talking about too. They released it for the PS2, fortunately, since I don't own a PSP. Apparently the game is named Sega Genesis Collection in the States and Sega Mega Drive Collection in Europe. Yeah, Altered Beast rocked! Oh, and Shinobi too. :D I never tried Phantasy Star though, I was always playing some other RPG at the time, and never did try that one. Myabe this summer I'll give it a shot. Umbra
Eh, Phantasy Star ain't that good if you have played Golden Sun for the GBA. But still, classic game is classic.
Pikachu
hmmm old games, im too young to even think about it (look in my account, im 12)anyways, old games, new games, just alike, not much of new ideas. always based on old ones
Guest KAJN
Well I like to say this New get remembered but old never Dies. So basically what I'm saying is changes are good but old things never go away.
Pikachu
that's true, but not really simplicity ninjathe new games go on the trend for a while, but then get forgetten the old games, stay as the first, like in your history class it always stays. that's what makes old games more famous (a bit like latin)
Cyber Altair
I guess the thing about it is the really short levels and the small amount of levels and the sucky graphics. the only reason they are good was that people were lazy to make new characters so they just kept using them on again and again.... Kizzi
I don't like many classic games. :(But Space Invaders on the PS1 is AWESOME. :D
