Alien invasion!

Quick-Play Spell

Target 1 Face-up monster on the field: Place A-Counters on it equal to it’s Level/Rank/Link. While that target with any A-Counters is on the field, the following effects are applied: ●During your Main Phase, You can Normal Summon/Set Monsters that mention “Alien” or “A-Counter” in their names or text without limit, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set, and can do so using 1 less tribute. ●If a card with any number of A-Counters on it Declares an attack or activates an effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster that mentions “Alien” or “A-Counter” in it’s name or text from your hand or Deck who’s level is equal to or less than the number of A-counters on it. ●If a Monster(s) that mentions “Alien” or “A-Counter” in it’s name or text would be sent to the GY or Banished, you can instead remove all A-Counters from 1 card on the field (Min. 1).For the rest of the turn after you activate this card, you cannot Special Summon monsters that do not mention “Alien” or “A-counter” in their names or text.

Alien Reviver (FIRE)

Level 4

Reptile/Tuner/Effect

(Quick Effect) If there are 4 or more A-counters on the field: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY. While this card is face-up on the field or in the GY, “Alien” monsters in your hand, deck or GY, or on your field, are also treated as FIRE-attribute, and their DEF becomes 200 while in the GY. If any “Alien” monsters you control would be Banished, you can instead Tribute 1 monster on the field with A-counters on it equal to or more than the Levels/Ranks/Links of those “Alien” monsters; Shuffle any of those “Alien” monsters into your Deck/Extra Deck, then, Draw 1 card.

ATK/2000 DEF/200

Basically, the idea with the Spell is to have it designate a Face-up monster either player controls to be a living “Gateway” for the “Alien”s invasion to pour out from en masse, sorta like in Warhammer 40K where insufficiently disciplined Psykers can inadvertently attract and create mass Daemon incursions. From there, the card offers multiple avenues of getting “Alien” and “A-Counter” related monsters out en masse, either from outright unlimited Normal Summons/Sets, or at least through proccing Special Summons through the attempted attacks or effect activations of any monster afflicted with A-Counters. The card also has a protection effect to let you remove A-Counters from the field to prevent your archetypal monsters from being Banished or Sent to the GY. And, as an obligatory restriction, using this card locks you into only being able to Special Summon the “Alien” archetype’s monsters for the rest of the turn you use this card. There’s a REASON I’m using Tyranids for the card arts.

Alien Reviver meanwhile is meant to be something of an especially versatile powerhouse… As an Level 4 (FIRE) Reptile/Tuner/Effect with 2000 ATK and 200 DEF, it has a good suite of base stats that’d be useful for a variety of card interactions (primarily by making the card viable for both “Snake Rain” AND “Rekindling” at the same time, but we’ll get into THAT), while the 2000 ATK makes it a viable beatstick that’d be worth the Normal Summon in a pinch. From there, the card has a few fun effects… It can Special Summon itself from your hand or GY while 4 or more A-Counters are out on the field, it makes your “Alien” monsters from almost everywhere all be FIRE-Attribute if they weren’t already (on top of any pre-existing other attributes), and it makes their DEF become 200 while in the GY (and this effect is active while the card is Face-up on the field OR while in the GY)… Meaning that, once this card is in position, you can, and this is the main loop I had in mind while making this card BTW, use Snake Rain to send up to 4 of your “Alien” monsters to the GY, then use “Rekindling” to summon them en masse. And, as one last fun bit, you can prevent their “Rekindling”-invoked Banishment (or really ANY form of Banishment in a pinch) by Tributing 1 monster on the field who’s total accumulated A-Counters on it equals or exceeds the total Levels/Ranks/Links of those “Aliens” that would otherwise be Banished, shuffling them into your Deck instead and giving you the 1 card to Draw at the end. So with this card + Rekindling + Snake Rain, you’d be able to swarm the field with your “Aliens” for your plays, then potentially recycle them back into your Deck/Extra Deck for a free draw and the chance to do it all over again.

Edit: I accidentally uploaded this the first time with an incomplete name, and when I fixed it for some reason made a second copy of the topic…???
