Shogi Cards: Battle of the Chess Games!

After seeing the xiangqi cards that wyhe made, the chess cards that josef23 made, and looking at an older chess card set, I decided to adapt another set I was working on into a shogi set. (It's Japanese chess, BTW.) I plan on expanding this set to include pieces from the shogi variants. so stay tuned!

Shogi - Jewelled King

Spellcaster/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 500/DEF 500

You can only have 1 "Shogi - Jewelled King" face-up on your side of the field. This face-up card cannot be destroyed while you control another face-up "Shogi" monster. (Damage calculation is still applied.) Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 other face-up "Shogi" monster you control to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the monster's original ATK.

 

Shogi - Gold General

Warrior/LIGHT/Level 3/ATK 1300/DEF 700

When this card inflicts Battle Damage, you can shuffle this card into your Deck to Special Summon 1 "Shogi" monster from your Deck that has "Shogi - Gold General" in its card text, except for "Shogi - Gold General", and inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

 

Shogi - Silver General

Warrior/LIGHT/Level 3/ATK 500/DEF 1500

When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Promotion", Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Gold General" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, after the Damage Step, it gains the following effect:

-You can Tribute this card and 1 other "Shogi" monster you control to draw 2 cards.

 

Shogi - Laureled Knight

Warrior/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1500/DEF 1300

When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Promotion", Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Gold General" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, after the Damage Step, it gains the following effect:

-This card can attack twice per Battle Phase.

 

Shogi - Incensed Lance

Warrior/LIGHT/Level 3/ATK 400/DEF 1700

When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Promotion", Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Gold General" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, after the Damage Step, it gains the following effect:

-This card can attack your opponent directly. You can change this card to Defense Position after the Damage Step.

 

Shogi - Flying Rook

Warrior/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1600

When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Promotion", Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Dragon King" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, after the Damage Step, it gains the following effect:

-When this card attacks a face-up monster with an original ATK that is greater than then original ATK of this card, you can increase this card's ATK by an amount equal to half of the attack target's ATK during the Damage Step only.

 

Shogi - Dragon King

Dragon/LIGHT/Level 5/ATK 2500/DEF 1700

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Shogi - Flying Rook". When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of the ATK of the destroyed monster.

 

Shogi - Angled Bishop

Spellcaster/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1500/DEF 1900

When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Promotion", Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Dragon Horse" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, after the Damage Step, it gains the following effect:

-When this card inflicts Battle Damage, you can double the inflicted damage.

 

Shogi - Dragon Horse

Dragon/LIGHT/Level 5/ATK 2200/DEF 1300

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Shogi - Angled Bishop". When this card attacks your opponent directly, increase this card's ATK by 600 during the Damage Step only.

 

Shogi - Soldier Pawn

Warrior/LIGHT/Level 2/ATK 300/DEF 400

When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Promotion", Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Golden General" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, after the Damage Step, it gains the following effect:

-When this card inflicts Battle Damage, you can Special Summon 1 "Shogi - Soldier Pawn" from your Deck. Then, shuffle the Deck.

 

 

[spoiler=Wa Shogi (Beast Shogi)]

Wa Shogi - Crane King

Winged-Beast/WIND/Level 1/ATK 500/DEF 500

You can only have 1 "Wa Shogi - Crane King" face-up on your side of the field. When this card would be destroyed, you can remove from play 1 "Wa Shogi" monster in your Graveyard to negate this card's destruction. Then, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of monsters that have been removed by this effect x 100.

Promotion

Continuous Spell Card

When a "Shogi" monster you control inflicts Battle Damage, you can activate this card from your Deck, and you can then activate this card's effect, regardless of timing. If you do, then shuffle the Deck. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 face-up "Shogi" monster you control that has inflicted Battle Damage since it was last Summoned or flipped face-up.
