“The first second” of the effect?

If you mean the “Cards equipped to cards being attached to this card as material are also attached.” bit, the idea was any cards that are equipped to the monsters this card attaches to itself (either from its Xyz Summon or elsewise, like by this card’s own effect) are ALSO attached to itself as materials.

So say I have a “Relinquished” I control that’s gone and equipped itself with a “Curse of Dragon”, and then I Xyz summon “Xyzalted Eyes-Restrict” with that “Relinquished”… The equipped “Curse of Dragon” would ALSO be attached as material.
