Speed Duels use a system involving the field spell card,Speed World.This card is compulsary for Speed Duels & only allows Speed Spells to be used safely. (If you use any other spells,you take a hit at your life points) For each Speed Spell,it can only be played when there is a certain amount of Speed Counters on Speed World.

In the world of 5D's, riding duels are more of a form of entertainment for the rich demographic, rather than a straight-up method of dueling.

So it plays on slightly different rules compared to regular dueling on a duel disk.

thats basically it.

 

each turn the players each get more counters on their own field spell (they each have one and its on the field from the beginning of the duel.)

 

then you can remove those counters to activate certain "speed spell" spell cards, if you activate any other spell card you take 2000 points of damage.

Sounds complicated. Are the cards we see in 5D's going to be turned into real life cards we can use?
