Tania Tongeng
Welcome to my 8th YU-GI-OH! COLLABORATION SERIES. With a little knowledge of Pokemon TCG, I tried to make YGO versions of Pokemon cards while still trying to include a little bit of the gameplay elements from the Pokemon TCG. My previous post: J.P. DINOSAUR ARCHETYPE (JURASSIC PARK) SAURONS ARMY (THE LORD OF THE RINGS) XENOMORPH-YAUTJA ARCHETYPE (ALIEN VS PREDATOR) ROBOT BOXER ARCHETYPE (REAL STEEL) JAEGER-KAIJU ARCHETYPE (PACIFIC RIM) SLASHER ARCHETYPE (SLASHER FILMS) MARVEL HERO ARCHETYPE (MCU) ================ POKEMON ARCHETYPE ================ Because there are many Pokémon monsters, for this YGO version of Pokémon I limited it to only monsters from the first generation, and the Attributes are only EARTH, WATER, FIRE, LIGHT and DARK which I divided into 4 "Pokémon Energy": Grass, Water, Fire, and Electric (I didn't make an energy card for DARK). The effects of these YGO version Pokémon monsters for the sake of simplicity, I determined according to their Attributes with a few additions and variations: - EARTH: changes the monster's Battle Position - WATER: adds LP - FIRE: destroys card - LIGHT: Inflict Damage If all the monsters in the Main Deck are Pokémon monsters, the Field Spell "Pokémon World" will automatically activate. This field allows us to place a maximum of 3 "Basic Pokémon" in the Spell/Trap Zone, which can be Special Summoned if the monsters in our Main Monster Zone leave the Field, similar to the "Bench Pokémon" in the Pokémon TCG. With this Field Spell, each turn we can get an "Energy Card" from the Deck, but it can only be activated once per turn, similar to the Pokémon TCG where each turn we get 1 energy. The Field Spell "Pokémon World" will also add "Pokémon Battle Arena" to your hand. Advantages and disadvantages of "Pokémon Battle Arena": The advantage: You can take 2 "Basic Pokémon " cards and 1 "Pokémon Energy" from the Deck and you will not lose even if your LP has reached 0 as long as none of your 3 Pokémon monsters have been destroyed by Battle (In the Pokémon TCG, the winner is the one who manages to defeat 3 opponent monsters). The disadvantage: During the end of Main Phase 1, if we do not have a monster in the Main Monster Zone, then we automatically lose. In addition, our Pokémon monsters cannot attack if they do not have an "Energy Counter" (In the Pokémon TCG, if there are no Pokémon that can be played then we will lose, and to be able to attack a certain amount of energy is needed).
