Davok
THE CIVIL WAR ____________________ PROLOGUE ____________________ I opened my eyes, and closed them. The Terralaser blast had fried the whole fortress with plasma. Radiation seeped across the wreckage, and I fear that I was the only survivor. My body had been adapted to the heat and radiation at this level. I stood up, and my legs creaked. I was rusty and imperfect, nothing like the glorious Wily Bot I once was. Well, at least that crazy idiot Terra was dead- I hope. I searched through the wreckage, looking if there was at least some usable parts. I was certain that my fellow Robot Masters were dead. I paused at one heap of wreckage and remembered Hardman. His logic, his laughter, taking things seriously... I missed him. But, he was killed months ago by that crazed psychopathic robot called Megaman Juno. I remembered what he said to me once, while we were on a mission in the mountains and had a run in with the federal officials, he would say: ``Heatman, your going to get yourself killed someday.'' Well, now he is dead, and quite possibly all of my fellow Robot Masters were dead. How sickenly ironic. I'll have to find Wily. There's no way he could have escaped the blast of the Terralaser while it hit Skull Castle, but nothing can kill that man. Nothing. He always escapes. Always is back. I saw something move in the wreckage. Could it be one of my fellow Robot Masters had survived the sheer blast of that Planet Ruler's crazed weapon? I saw a head poke up from under the rubble, an orange head with metal shears on top of it. ``Cutman.'' I smiled. ``Finally. I thought you were dead.'' Cutman nodded and shook his head. ``So did I, pal. I guess this piece of shrapnel took the brunt of most of the blast.'' I nodded and joined him in searching the wreckage for survivors. ``Do you think we'll find that traitor Magnetman?'' I asked him. ``Nah, he was in the center of the blast. I saw him. He probably was instantly vaporized.'' I nodded and picked up a piece of shrapnel and studied it. ``Yeah, where do you think the old man's got to?'' ``Beats me. He'll show up soon. He always does.'' I nodded again and look over to a pile of wreckage. I thought I saw something moved. Oh well, must have been a glitch in my optic sensors. While Heatman and Cutman went off, a hand tore from the pile of wreckage. Groping, it found a hold and a head ascended from the pile. On the top was a distinguishable, yet rusty magnet. Umbra
Change the name. Or at least decapitalize it. The start of the fanfic felt somewhat incomplete. If I were you, I'd add a few surreal sentences before that to build up the tension. I'm also confused by the ``s. The fact that I see "s at the end of the sentences makes me even more confused. Stick to one or the other.
