They either take 1000, or they lose a monster. If played correctly, I think, this card might be very useful in forcing your opponent into a corner. ~ P O L A R I S ~ Posted May 29, 2008 Report Share Posted May 29, 2008 Yeah, but you're wasting a summon and giving your opponent a 2500 ATK monster which they can use as tribute fodder etc. Not to mention 2500 ATK can hurt, then they tribute it for somethin' like a monarch or dasher. That way, you won't be burned back.[/quote'] Except that Lava Golem offers MORE field control, doesn't force you to -1 yourself, doesn't let the opponent turn all their cards into Meteor of Destruction, and doesn't give the opponent the option of avoiding the burn by tributing a monster.
