Dark counterpart contest.

Your challenge is to make a dark version of an existing Monster Card. (For examples; think of Dark Armed Dragon, Dark Horus, The Dark Creator, etc)

 

Rules

- You CAN make a dark version of one of your own cards but you must post the original as well.

- It must have an effect

- It must have good OCG

- It must be balanced

- Synchro, ritual and fusion monsters are acceptable but you must also post the fusion material/ritual spell if you do so.

 

Prizes

1st - 3 reps

2nd - 2 reps

3rd - 1 rep

 

Marking

All cards are marked out of 100 points, At the end of the contest i will post what all the cards scored. The mark scheme is as follows

 

- up to 50 points for the effect (balance and OCG)

- up to 30 points for the card art

- up to 20 points for the combo-ability (the more compatible your card is with existing cards the better)

 

Deadlines

This contest will finish on the 2nd of June

Reserved entries have until the 3rd of June to 'appear' (I will PM you when the deadline is set if you have a reserved entry)

oh and i dont really want to make it an effect monsters...IMO its pefect like it is...if forced to make it an effect monster i will simply make it an effect monster and the leave the description as is...

 

i suppose i could give it the effect "while in the grave this card can count as 1,2 or 3 dark monsters" lol

Here: Dark Version:

Efffect:This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 "Primal Beast-Diablo" and 1 "Primal Beast" monster in your Graveyard. You can remove from play 1 "Primal Beast" monster from your Graveyard to destroy 1 card on the field. During your Battle Phase, if your opponent controls a monster after this card's first attack, this card can attack once again by halving this cards ATK. When this card is destroyed by battle, Pay 1000 Life Points, Special Summon 1 "Primal Beast-Diablo" to your side of the field.

I made a counterpart of "Paladin of White Dragon."

 

Here's the effect in case you can't see the small text: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing 2 DARK monsters from your Graveyard. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 DARK Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard. The DARK Dragon-Type monster Special Summoned in this way is unaffected by the effects of Effect Monsters.

 

Here's the Regular Paladin's effect: This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card "White Dragon Ritual." You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 4 or more from the field or your hand. When this monster attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the face-down monster with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or damage calculation. You can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand or your Deck. ("Blue-Eyes White Dragon" cannot attack during that turn.)

4. this is actually meant to be used with exodia because my emissary of the afterlife and sangan are next to useless for the purposes of searching out exodia pieces with caius running rampant in the metagame...

I expect relatively high marks, because:

- It should be balanced, and the OCG seems fine. (effect)

- I actually made the art myself, and it looks like a dark version.

- It's compatible with other dark monsters and Foolish Burial.

kizzi: Ironically enough, your second reason for your "expect"ation is unfulfilled due to the word "expect" in your card's effect. Sorry, XD, just had to point that out.
