[Fanfiction/Planning] Idea for fanfic looking for suggestions

 This is an idea I've had for years and mentally workshopped a thousand times. Basic premise is this, its not set in any canon version of the universe, this is its own thing but borrows some ideas from I'd say DM, GX, and 5Ds that I repurposed a little. There's the human world and the world of monster spirits, they're close enough that spirits hang around the human world, get involved in duel monsters, and even bond with humans. Thats where my main "mechanic" comes in. When the human-spirit bond is strong enough, the human can borrow some the spirit's power, partially transform into them, use their weapons, abilities, etc. If the spirit partner is maybe a boss monster or a "leader" of an archetype, the human can use lesser powers of other members of said archetype. For example, a character I have fleshed out uses phantom knights and his partner is Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche. Their bond is strong enough that he can use the main deck monsters for armor in battle, and use the weapons of extra deck monsters for offense, i.e. cursed javelin, break sword, use the spell/traps as physical objects, then gain a full transformation themed after Rusty Bardiche. The whole "spirit battle" system is well known and has spectators, and its all overseen by the Divine Council, the three trios of God cards and their human partners (Egyptian Gods, Sacred Beasts, Nordic Gods). Working the plot out as two antagonistic forces start a major tournament each for different reasons and it will last a decent length as there will be roster changes as one side or the other gains advantage. Go easy on me pls, this is my first attempt with a fanfiction idea
