New Spirit Monster: Amaterasu

There's Susa Soldier, Tsukuyomi, and even Izanagi, but not Amaterasu. Well, here's my version of him.

 

Amaterasu

Fairy/Spirit

1600/1500

 

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or flipped face-up. Once per turn, by paying 600 Life Points, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field.

Amaterasu is female. Japanese mythology describes her as the Goddess of the Sun. I would also make her LIGHT attribute. Winged-Beast can work, though so would Fairy or even Beast (xD Okami)

The Sun is also associated with fire as well,according to ancient myths.Thus,I see no problems with Amaterasu being a FIRE monster.

Well, that one wasn't as big a problem, but remember, this is JAPANESE myth. They associate the Sun with Light, not Fire. =p

Okay, in accordance to Japanese Mythology and Dark_Pride's post, Amaterasu has been changed.

Normally WIND and Winged-Beast monsters are the S/T removal, so I think this card should be Wind, Winged-Beast. XD

 

About the card, a bit overpowered.

 

But good idea, also I think you should lower it's ATK and DEF, again just my opinion.

Eh. Wind was better. Don't change pointless bits of the card to match others. You're making a MONSTER Amaterasu, not the actual Amaterasu. The actual Amaterasu would be waaaaaaaay more broken than this is.
