(3) If this card becomes banished: You can Special Summon it, then you can add 1 “Polymerization” from your GY to your hand.

“Kaitoptera” + 1 Dinosaur or Dragon monster
You can only use the 1st and 3rd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can place 1 Field Spell from your Deck or GY face-up in your Field Zone.
(2) Can attack directly the turn it is Special Summoned.
(3) During your Main Phase, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 Dinosaur or Dragon monster.

Ok this is clearly not all the support he's getting but those are some crazy effects. Kaitoptera searches poly, then when banished, which dinosaurs love to do, it summons itself like giant Rex AND recovers poly? And clearly there's gonna be several of these fusion monsters so kaitoptera alone will let you fusion summon at least twice.

Pretty sure this it is. Looking at the set numbers, DM only has 1 slot remaining and these are the last two remaining anime/manga monsters Rex had anyway.

I think he's gonna get a set of retrained dinos the same way mako did with the sea stuff. Those cards are probably going to be fusion based, which makes kaitoptera pretty insane.

He already has some retrains in DUNE though, whether he gets further retrains down the road is anyone's guess and maybe they won't go down that route.
