A Question: How do you do the status update thingy?

I wanna Do the Status update thingy, But I have no clue how to do it.

Ok, look in the top right corner of the screen

 

now click on create like you would when creating a topic 

finally, click status and create your status update

It only says Topic for me.

Strange, I wouldn’t know then, maybe check your settings and see if theirs anything that may turn it on

I'm having the same issue and there's nothing in the settings about it.

Try moving from the forums page to your profile page. There should be a function over there to write something that looks similar to when you make a regular post. That is another way to access statuses.

For me it appears as "activity" and drops down to a list of your posts at different threads and other areas of the site, but if you just purely make a new comment there at the top of that list without going into any links, it should transform into a status.
