Laval Support

Hi guys! Long time no see! It’s been a while since I posted anything here, but that doesn’t mean I was sitting still. Here’s my attempt at making Laval a competent Synchro combo deck, using the archetype’s signature lack of HOPT and ability to get a lot of Lavals (5 from conduction field alone) in the GY quickly. (However, 1 monster effect needed a HOPT to avoid a loop.)

Here are the cards:

Laval Beast

FIRE Pyro Level 3

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Laval" Tuner from your hand or Deck, then if you have a “Laval” monster in your GY with a different name than the cards you control, you can increase its Level by 1, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except FIRE monsters. If this card is banished: You can return all your banished “Laval” monsters to the GY, except “Laval Beast”.

- First effect needed a lock to prevent being an engine and also to not let you make a huge link board using Searing Fire Wall after you summon this (but you could do it before if you opened conduction field)

- Last effect works with most synchros banishing Lavals from the GY for protection. This way you wont be left without a GY when your turn starts again at least.

Laval Visionary

FIRE Psychic Tuner Level 3

If this card is Special Summoned and you have a “Laval” monster in your GY, except “Laval Visionary”: Immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 “Laval” monster from your hand. If you cannot, inflict 1000 damage to both players. You can banish this card and any number of non-Tuner “Laval” monsters from your GY; Special Summon 1 “Laval” Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, whose Level equals the total Levels of the monsters banished to activate this effect. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) You can only use this effect of “Laval Visionary” once per turn.

- Helps with the problem of not having many good mill targets

- Helps with spamming out more synchros

- Combos well with Beast

Note: if you do not have a Laval in your GY, it will not burn

Laval Wave

Continuous Spell

When this card is activated: You can add 1 “Laval” monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can target 3 “Laval” monsters in your GY; shuffle them into the Deck, then add 1 “Molten Conduction Field”, “Birth of the Prominence Flame” or “Rekindling” from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 “Laval Wave” per turn.

- 1 card combo if you search Laval Beast

- Makes the power spells in this deck searchable, and is flexible

- Gives you incentive to actually play Birth of the Prominence Flame

Level 9 FIRE Rock Synchro

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner FIRE monsters

Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If this card attacks or is attacked, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. When your opponent Special Summons a monster: Banish 1 “Laval” monster from your GY; change it to face-down Defence Position.

- Mandatory book of moon on every summon depleting your GY at a rapid pace.

- Banish the new Laval Beast last to return all other banished Lavals to the GY for more interruptions.

- Extremely susceptible to any boardbreaker, like chalice, dark ruler or droplet

What do you guys think?
