Harry Potter RP #2 Roleplaying Thread

Gerard had no idea what Trelawny was babbling about, and he was really to tired to care. He and Sain wandered up to the Hufflepuff dormitries to get some well needed rest. Gerard gulped down the potion that Pomphrey had given him, and then got into his bed. Hours went by...and then "Ahhhh!" he sat up fast. Another horrible dream, this time with muggles being killed. He looked over at the clock. Midnight. he wished the dreams would go away. Maybe Trelawney could help him. He decided that he would go see her the next day.

Sario woke up Christmas morning to find himself on the couch of the common room, instead of the four poster bed that he had originally gone to sleep in. He looked around and saw Cydonia wrapped up in a blanket on the other couch, fast asleep, she must have moved him down to the main common room. He cralwed over to her and kissed her on the cheek. She stirred, and he said "Happy Christmas." And she awoke with a start. She sat up quickly and joyfully flung her arms around him.

"Happy Christmas!!" She said in delight.

"Come on, presents." He ushered and they both went to open their presents.

Sario had gotten a present from Gorre, it was a book called "Dueling Delights" where it had the entire history of champion duelers, along with the play-by-play of each duel recorded. He got several books actually, the entire 8 book set of the "Immortal Chronicles" series, by Anomu Terricruz, including the special edition of the 8th book "The Silent Fight" from Cydonia, sense she knew how much he loved fantasy novels. He had gotten a laminated frame of the process of becoming a "Metamorphimagi" that he had so liked, seeing how as he would need help from the potions master and Gorre and McGinagall, he got that from McGonigall. Last, he had receaved a sweater that had Chinese Writing on it, translated to tell an entire story of werewolves, from Cydonia's parents.

They both went down to breakfast to join Sain and Gerard, Gerard looked as though he had another nightmare, and Sain looked rather pleased with his presents.

"I'll join you soon, I have to talk to McGonigall about something." he said to Cydonia, and she sat down and saved him a seat.

"Professor? You got me the process of 'Metamorphimagi' maybe you could help me with it?" He asked briskly.

"Sure, I will. I'll get Professor Grimm to make the potion, and get Professor Gorre to get the spell ready. It'll take a week to do. Enjoy the feast, and nice sweater, Mr. Ojima" She said pleasently. And he went and sat down beside Cydonia, who flung her arms around him again.

Christmas morning was ok. He was very tired, but he got some nice presents. His parents sent him his pet owl which he had forgotten to bring with him at the beggining of the year. Trelawny provided little help. He couldn't even understand what she was saying half the time. At the end of their meeting she became very stiff and looked frightened, and didn't say anything for 10 minutes. So Gerard just walked out, and went back to join the others.

"whats with all the presents guys Roscuro says as he sat on thier table for breakfast (he never experinced cristmas before and will not have noticed any presents that anyone gave him, if he was given one at all)

ooc:just because Roscuro isn't the reason for the nightmares doesn't mean that Roscuro knows that

Sario and Cydonia decided to play some games of Wizards Chess, well actually the first game took the entire day to finish.

Sario was laughing when he had finally beaten Cydonia at it. "Wow, I have never met someone so good at this game." He said, and they packed the set up, but Professor Gorre came into the room finally, he looked like he had a horrible week, his face was scarred badly, and he was wearing an aweful set of black robes. "Sorry for the lateness, Headmistress, I am not at 100% this day." He said. "Happy Christmas" he added to Sario, Cydonia, Sain, and Gerard.

Gerard watched Gorre as he headed over to join the other teachers. Something was different about him today. A sort of nervous/anxious energy seemed to be hovering around him. He looked horrible too. Gerard was mystefied, but went back to reading one of his new books.

"Well, I'm gonna go to bed early, you just have some fun today, Sario." Cydonia said and she walked back up to the common room, after kissing Sario good night. Sario decided to start reading the first Immortal Chronicles book that he got from Cydonia.

"Immortal Chronicles, a really nice book." Gorre said from infront of him.

"Yeah, did you know the author of it taught D.A.D.A. last year, he resigned because he was moving to America."

"Yes, I did know that actually. I still contact him actually. But I'll let you read it, I won't ruin it for you." he said and he walked away,

Sario continued to read.

Gerard did not go to sleep that night. He stayed sitting in the common room all alone. He was afraid of having another one of those terrifying, exhausting dreams. At first he was reading, but then he started to doze of and had to go to the lavatries and splash water in his face. Now he just sat in front of the dying fire, staring at it. He new that this was not good. He could not go on living like this. But who could he turn to? No one understood the measure of fear the terrifying dreams insired in him, they felt almost real. If some sort of dark magic was involved in the dreams, Gorre could probably help. However, Gerard was to hesitant to ask him about it. "Yes" he said. The sun began to gleam through the window. He made it through one night.

The start of term began hastily.

"Welcome to the start of a new term. I hope that everyone had a good Christmas. Now, elt's get started on the lesson that will take the rest of the year. It's called, the Patronus Charm. Can anyone tell me the function of it? Ah yes, Mr. Ojima." Gorre said, during their first D.A.D.A. class of the term.

"It's supposed to fight away Dementors. It acts as a positive force so the Dementors feed on it instead of your happy memories."

"Excellent, 5 points to Ravenclaw. Yes, I know Mr. Roscuro, you can do a different version of it, I don't care, everyone else cannot. Now, I will not be bringing in a dementor, I'll be teaching you the spell first, then I'll take you outside of the gates, later on in the year, and I'll have you each, in turn, fight a real dementor, I have a contact that likes to horde dementors, it's dangerous, but we'll get to it later. For now, we will be practicing the charm itself. Repeat after me. Expecto Patronum."

Evryone repeated "Expecto Patronum" and then Gorre pulled out his wand.

"Alright, now, everyone should be taking out their wand now. Now, recite the incantation, but this time. I want you to focus on a happy memory. Start once you're ready. GO!"

Sario hastily pulled his wand out, closed his eyes to think of a memory, and then said "Expecto Patronum" but nothing happened. He tried again, nothing happened. He tried several times, until, with a very loud bang and frightened screams, a large silvery wolf bursted from his wand and ran around the room in a circle.

Gerard was very interested when he heard about patronus's. He wished that his class could learn the like Sario's class. But Gerard was only a 4th year and would have to wait 2 more years. During his free period he went down to the library and looked up the patronus charm. He wish he new what shape his would take.

While he was looking that charm up, he happened to flip to another page.....the Solaris Charm, he gazed at the text. Inventor: Arcturus Edgely Ojima Function: Unknown

Wow! Gerard wondered if Sario was related to Arcturus.

Sario was sitting in the Common Room, he was the only one who had managed to conjure a Corporeal Patronus, or a Patronus that took a definate shape.

He sat reading his new Immortal Chronicles series, he was already on the 5th book "The Rebirth" and was nearly finished with it too.

Cydonia was laying asleep, with her head in his lap.

during the next few weeks, the D.A.D.A. classes were getting harder and harder. Untio everyone was able to produce a silvery cloud.

"Alright, now. A New defence against a dementor. Yes, there is a second spell. Now, this one is well beyond N.E.W.T. level, you will repeat after me. Expecto Eraticum"

and everyone managed to repeat it. "Good, now for a simple demonstration." and Gorre pulled out his wand and said, with a fierce wave, "Expecto Eraticum!" and instead of a silvery shape of ravens, a beautiful cluster of Golden shots of what appeared to be Ravens shot bursted from his wand. "It's more direct, and it actually, what you may say, kill a dementor. The real term of it is called Eraticate. There is no killing a dementor, it can only dissappear."

Gerard was still plagued by dreams. He was always exhausted, as the dreams seemed to physically drain him, in addition to his overall lack of sleep. He dozed in every class, and almost got detention. Sain got really worried about Gerard when he found him slumped in the library; he had fallen asleep while looking for a book. Gerard woke up in the hospital wing....again. He wasn't in the general area though, he was in a side room that he had never been in beore. There were things all over the walls, and Madame Pomphrey was bussling around searching for something. What was going on?

The next few monthes wore off with a bright sunny day in May. Sario, Cydonia, Sain, Roscuro, and Gerard were sitting inthe office of Professr Gorre.

"Well. Tonight is the last of the Dueling Tournament. Now, I realize that the Euphoria from the Quidditch Final last week has not worn off yet, seeing how as Hufflepuff won the Quidditch Cup, you two are very excited. But we must finish with the Dueling Tournament." Gorre looked shakey, he even twitched alitt.e His illness still had not come this month, and he looked like he was on the verge of it. "Now, tonight, I have permission to take you five, who just so happened to be the finalist, and will be going with me, outside of school, to London Central. To the Twilight Dueling Arena. Now, this is considered a Field Trip, it'll take the rest of the month. School rules apply when you're with me. And Gerard, I have readied a potion for you on Madem Pomphrey's request. Don't worry." He said happily. "Now, I have booked rooms for us all, Sario and Cydonia in a room, Sain and Gerard in another, Roscuro in another, and myself in the last room. Now, if you can please follow me, we will head outside of the gates, I have a portkey waiting there." And he led them all to the grounds.

 

OoC: Now will come the plot line. I'm choosing to start the turn point early. Mainly because Im getting impatient with this RP. And I want this to be the first one to be finished 100%, now just follow my lead. Torchman, I'm sorry, but you have been too inactive lately.

OoC: I'm sorry, but I might be inactive from this RP. I'm dedicating most on my time to working on my Megaman Civil War RP and the upcoming sequel of Super Smash Bros. Armageddon. I just might pop in time to time, but I'll be pretty much inactive. My characters are open, if anyone wants them.

Gerard and Sain walked into their hotel room in London. It was fairly small, but had two beds and a good sized bathroom. He unpacked his things into the drawers. The best thing about the field trip was going to be that night, when they actually got to duel at the Twilight Duel arena. He was very nervous, and had been studying up on spells and techniques almost constantly. Gorre had been getting less frightning to Gerard, and he was actually glad to have him on the trip as well. He had taught them many useful things about dueling. He looked at his watch - 4:00. It was almost time.

Sario and Cydonia met Gorre and the others in the front lobbey, where they all started their journey to the Twilight Arena. Once they were there, Gorre led them to the registration booth.

"Name." The register said,

"Vieron Gorre, and the team from Hogwarts." Gorre said imformatively.

The register looked up at the sound of Gorre's name, "Did you say 'Vieron Gorre'? By god, it's good to see you, laddy." He said pleasently, shaking Gorre's hand. "So this is it? This is the five students from Hogwarts, then?"

"Yes."

"Well, then through the door on the right, then. Good luck, lads." He added cheerfully.

They walked through the indicated door, and as soon as they opened it, someone flew out of no where and gave Gorre a very overenthusiatic greeting.

"Vieron, it's a damn good sight to see you. I thought you'd retired."

"No, Baron, I am returning to the spot light, and I brought the team from Hogwarts along with me."

"So, you finally taken care of your ittle problem then?"

"Yes, you could say that." But Gorre was alittle on the sarcastic tone.

"So, what did you use? Wo.."

"Let's not talk about it. Okay? Not infront of these five." Gorre interrupted quite quickly.

"Oh, but I thought you didn't like kids, Vieron."

"I have had time to change."

"Well, now, if you'll follow me, I'll show you to your end."

The man called Baron led them to a compartment at the far end of the building.

"Good luck." He added as he closed the door.

"Alright, you five. This is how it goes. If you wish to watch the matches, you must stay with me at all times. These matches are held in the very center. And it's not like our's at Hogwarts, where we have dozens of matches at the same time. It's one-on-one match, one at a time. And there are three systems. In each system, there will be a representor, which is chosen at the semi-finals. Sario, you're in the Green System. Cydonia and Sain are in the Red System, and James and Gerard are in the Black System. Now, you are only in the Underage League right now. I, myself, am participating in the Black System in the Pro League. Now, when I'm part of a match, I will entrust Sario to keep you all together. I don't want you to be getting lost now. But yet, the Pro League is before the Underage league because it's more important. Now realise this, in the Pro League it's alot faster and it's alot more complicated, because we have people Disapparating and Apparating everywhere in the Dueling Area. These are pros, you got to remember that. Now, on to the Finals. The finals consist of one match. I know, there are 3 representators, one from each system. The trick for the Finals, is it's a Three Duelist Free-For-All match, between the three representators. Now, the rules are: No Dark Magic, No Killing, and No Illegal Spells. Sario, you have been here before, so lead everyone to the stands. I am part of Match 1 of Round 1, I will join you after my match. now go." He ushered them off.

"Good Luck!!" Cydonia and Sario called after him, and Sario led them to the stands.

OOC: It's alright, sorry, but we have to continue without you. I decided to turn the plotline early, by jumping to May, thus getting all the way to the main part, the Twilight Dueling Arena.

Gerard sat down in the stands to watch. Gorre entered the dueling arena. He appeared very calm, but Gerard knew that he was probably terrified. His opponent was a tall, skinny wizard with a long white beard. He appeared tobe very old and had a humback. "Gorre can take him no problem" Sain whispered to Gerard. But there was something familiar about that wizard... yes! he was in the daily prophet! Gerard forgot his name, but remembered that the article said he was one of the top duelists in England and had been a highly accomlished auror earlier in life. Gerard realized that Gorre was up for a tough fight.

Gorre merely smirked at his opponent, and he draw, not his wand, but a steel sword, he had his wand in his other hand already, holding the sword in his other. Everyone then started cheering madly, like they knew something they didn't, while Gorre smiled, and his opponent stepped back abit.

"What? But, it's just a sword, that Auror can it out easily, infact I can."

And when the bell rang, the Auror imediately tried a Disarming Spell, but to everyones great shock, Gorre sliced the jet of white light in half, and it vapored out. Then Gorre aimed his wand and waved it upward, and with a loud bang and a flash of light, the Auror was hoisted up in the air by his ankle, but he did not drop his wand, instead the Auror aimed his wand again and said "Stupefy!" and a red jet of light shot from his wand only to be met by Gorre's well timed Shield Charm, then another bang and flash of light, the Auror dropped to the ground. Gorre released his shield charm and sent a jet of Orange Light at the Auror and hit him in the face. Instantly, the Auror was blasted off his feet, and landed into the wall, his face horribly puffed up, Gorre had used a Stinging Jinx, and he did it so the Auror wouldn't be able to see very well. The Auror shot a poorly aimed Stunning Spell, that obviously missed, and hit an invisible barrier.

"The guy's at Gorre's mercy now, he can't see very well thanks to Gorre's Stinging Jinx, and Gorre's more talented." Sario said to the others.

"Stupefy!!" Came the Auror's voice, his face returned back to normal sense the Jinx wore off, but Gorre was still ready for it. Gorre turned on the spot and vanished, and reappeared behind the Auror, and sent a Stunning Spell straight into the Auror's back.

The bell rang again, and everyone cheered. Gorre had won.

Sario looked down at his watch, the match was only 3 minutes long.

The rounds for the juniors had begun. The red system was going first, and Sain was in the first match. His opponenent was tall and sturdily built. He grimaced at Sain. The match began. Sain fired an expelliarmus at the opponent, but a sheild charm got in the way. The two went back an forth likr this, and Gerard watched in awe. Eventually Sain knovked the other guy out with stupefy, and won the match. Gerard was very happy for his friend.

Sario was up next. His opponent was shorter, but he knew from experience that shortness can be deseptive, as learned from Flitwik.

The match began, Sario sent stunning spell after stunning spell in equal timing, and at 180 spells per minute, and when you're thinking about how much energy you use for that, it's very fast. But each spell countered by his opponent's own, equally as fast stunning spells, they were locked in a predictament, red jets of light crashed with red, but Sario knew what to do already.

Sario secretly let a stunning spell surge from his free hand's palm and his opponent was too focused on Sario's wand hand, and sario's free-handed spell hit on target and launched him to the wall.

Sario went to sit down at the stands.

It was Gerard who was next.

"That some firework display there." Gorre said appreciatively.

Gerard's opponent was fair haired with blue eyes. He appeared very fightened. Gerard raised his wand and they began. Gerard sent various spells at him, knocking him backwards and throwing him up in the air. While his opponent appeared to be down, he fired a locomaotor mortis at Gerard. He struggled, but since his hands were free, he fired a stupefy and hit the opponent squarely. The match was over, and Roscuro was up next.

OoC: Actually, sense when one duel from a system is over, it goes to the nest system, so Cydonia would be next instead. Then Roscuro fights, and then it repeats. Starting with Gorre's fight...

 

Cydonia was up next. She was quite scared, until she sent a perfectly well quanted stinging hex straight at her opponent's face, which spread to his whole body, and then she sent a perfect levicorpus added with a perfect Tap-Dancing Jinx, which combined with Levicorpus, made her opponent's stung body thrash around for his ankle was stuck in one place in the air, his other foot accidentally kicking his own wand out. She won with an explosion of cheers from the audience.
