Delinquent Trio!
[Spell]

You can only activate "Delinquent Trio!" once per turn. Banish any "Delinquent Trio!" cards from your hand, field, or GY, and pay 1000 LP for each card banished this way, and activate the following effect based on the number of cards banished this way.
-1: Add up to 2 "Delinquent Trio!" from your Deck to your hand.
-2 or more: Your opponent discards 1 card from their hand.
-3: Discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand.

- - - - -

The card can banish itself yes
This tries to balance Delinquent Duo, and have something with the potential to mimic such a power play, but with a lot of little variations and a harder condition to hit full force.
Meant for Goat Format's power level, under the attempt of trying to find ways to recreate that experience without having to fill it with card design that need to be limited/semi-limited to work to the format's advantage.

The way it works is you either
-pay 1000 ban banish this card, so that it searches the other 2 copies, and next turn do the "pay 2000 and your opponent chooses and discards 1 card" OR
-wait to assemble all 3 copies (among hand/field/GY) to pay 3000 and do the same as the effect of original "Delinquent Duo".

How you manage the copies of it while you get all 3 is part of the strategy, using them as baits or discard fodder and stuff......
What do you think? too bad to be worth it even there?

You could send them all to the grave with painful choice then add one back with the one flip monster that adds spells from grave to hand

Painful Choice was banned at that point in history. Goat Format did not get to play with it but the year before (Yata lock) did iirc.
Here's the Goat banlist:

oh I thought goat format was before the first ban list sorry

The format on the other hand can discard them via Graceful Charity mainly, or Card Destruction, or for costs (Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Tribe-Infecting Virus, etc). Otherwise it is playing mind games with the opponent's timing to use a Delinquent Duo kind of effect on you, or setting them in hopes your opponent wasts MST/ Heavy Storm/Breaker on them (same principlie as Jar of Greed), or you can just banish them from hand/field, but you'd be losing that card advantage which defeats the purpose in a lot of scenarios of having a Delinquent Duo-like effect going. It has options xD
