The grammar is fairly good, but there are a bit if details here and there. Don't worry, tho, you'll improve over time (as we all do). Let's see: Dis-strix If this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Dis-" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 "Dis-" monster in your GY, except "Dis-strix"; Special Summon that target. If this card is discarded: You can add 1 "Dis-" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. Okie, I'll point out some stuff here. Fixes are in green. Try to learn the most basic effect structure Timing and/or Condition colon Targets and/or Costs semi-colon The thing it does xD (without the xD) Also keep an eye on the terms that go capitalized. Normal Summon (and any Summon), words after a colon, Deck, Spell/Trap, Standby Phase (and any Phase), they all go cap'ed. Do not use "one" or any written number, use the numeral. Also use GY to refer to the Graveyard Letters in yellow are just a suggestion. 99% of the time, when it's an affect that is inherently positive, you want it to be non mandatory (You can...). I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the fixes as many of the cards have similar tiny faults to be addressed. ~~~~ I like the concept, a discard and win situation. Reminds me a bit of Dark World bois, and to a lesser extent the Atlanteans that want to be dumped to activate a WATER mon's effect to apply their effect, making your actions double valued. I believe the entire set is fairly balanced and I like how despite the brutal discarding you should have more or less enough draw/search power to keep the resources healthy. It's probably too much that it can SS 2 monsters just by being destroyed (even by yourself). Not only that, byt it's 100% generic. Materials for Summon are generic, discards are as well, and the same for the Summons. This in itself adds a tooon of power (think of Norden that Special Summons 1 monster. Norden is banned). If you really want to keep the Summoning effect, there are options. Restrict to "Dis-" monsters for starters, then negate their effects and make them unable to be used as mats for the turn they're summoned (no use in giving them a "but banish them when they leave the field because in all likeliness you'd use them for Xyz Summon, and that doesn't count as leaving the field). Lone mouse
I went into this wanting to make them a better dark world in terms of discarding and the first card I made for this was "Dis-cord" and originally was going to be one of the altars speaking of.. also edited the extra deck to make them non-generic but I think the main deck should be fine since you have to draw them right?
