Slushy Mermaid
WATER Level 5 [ Aqua / Effect ] 0 / 3000

If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Slushy": You can banish 1 "Slushy" from your GY, then banish all cards your opponent controls, face-down. If it attacks a monster: You can switch this card's current ATK and DEF, during damage calculation only. This card's effects cannot be negated by monster effects.

So this is Slushy in the link for those who don't know the card^

It has a lot of things going for it. Even without the field nuke via Slushy, she's still a 3000 ATK beaster that can be brought out in multiples via Inferno Reckless Summon (At which point you can use "Unity" to make 1 of them 9000 DEF and then hit with that). Also a Level 4 Normal Summonable monster with 3200 under "A Legendary Ocean".

Of course the idea is that if you achieve the feat of fulfilling Slushy's effect, you get a very harsh nuke as payoff which can be stopped via Spell/Trap cards, but not by omni-negate bosses from modern day Yugioh.

I...I can't react, I'm out of reactions for the first time ever xD. I gotta check my profile because I don't remember reacting so much. I'll Shiba this card tomorrow or later today if they refresh.

Sooo, I'm concerned about the super banish effect, but it's also true it requires a ton of set-up and many cards dedicated in the Deck for the Slooooshy combo. How evil would it be, though, that after the set up this card could nuke your field during the next 3 turns? xD. 

Mmmm... the ATK/DEF swap is what has you worried right. Ideas:

● Make it so your opponent can negate the effect if they discard 1 card, so you risk the card stay in ATK position without it being able to damage. This has funny implications... you have already screwed your opponent's field, so their only hope remains their hand and drawn card of next turn. Would they discard? 

● The swap only occurs if you banish another Slushy, taking away 1 of your nukes. Another option would be shuffling a Slushy. This sounds bad, obviously, but might not be so much if the banished one can be shuffled.

● If she uses the effect, other monsters you control cannot attack that turn.

Thank you so much, I find the idea of discard hilarious but I think option 3 is the more fair one (and it doesn't stop "Unity" from making her a single  9k attack mwahahaha )
The nuke effect came to me because everybody seems to think slushy is just not worth it xD

oh my, @Sleepy, Tinkerer's got a point, this card is Aqua. Quoting because thanks, I didn't know that card exists and I'm kinda in love with it (though the artwork is somewhat unnerving xD).

So umm, the typing was purposely given to the card so the entire setup takes 1 more step, Sleepie? Given how problematic it is to get Slushys in place that might be a bit too much.

I think the unnerving part of this card is that you can SS it from the grave up to 3 times and banish up to 12 cards each time. So you could literally banish 60-90% of your opponent's deck with this single effect. So smart move on Sleepy's part to require that extra step. That extra step might be just enough to slow the card down enough to balance it. Nicely done. Also, you don't need to get Slushy on the field. You can just hit the first Slushy with Chain Destruction and that'll put the other two copies in the grave regardless of where they are.

These are valid points. Having considered this all, I'm still wondering if the extra step is yay or nay. Chain Destruction is a good idea... and another Trap and will require that it is 1 turn in the field, while also hoping your opponent doesn't do anything to your Slushy before you can pull the combo xD. It's a delicate balance here, imo, too much set up and rip card, too few, and it becomes OP'ed >_<"

Changes have been made:

-Changed the ATK/DEF swap effect to when she attacks a monster, making it more clear/intuitive she only works when she's the attacker and functions with "current" rather than "original" DEF. Additionally balancing the damage issue to where she can get massive beater points if no nuke happens OR a very harsh nuke.

-The Typing got changed to Sea Serpent to more naturally work with Slushy's effect. I also gave the requirement to banish 1 Slushy from GY to trigger, cutting it short in re-use since you can revive her a second time with the third Slushy but without being able to trigger the effect that second time unless you make Slushy come back with something like Burial from a Different Dimension.

What do you people think of the changes? Still a bit worried of the nuke? = )

I believe it's much better balanced now. I liked how you moved the additional Slushy banishing suggestion to the main nuke effect, and the stats swap look solid. Btw, I found a new artwork for you in case it's of use n.n

I like it. Though I don't think I can use it as the composition doesn't look like it can accomodate the dimensions of card art for Yugioh unless I crop out enough of the image to have it become a half-body shot. But thank you xP
