Radiant Beast Archetype (10/10) - Light Bit of Discarding

Radiant Beast is an archetype of LIGHT monsters with various Types and Levels. They focus on Fusion Summoning and discarding, and controlling no Spells/Traps, and their main playstyle revolves around discarding their own archetype for a bonus effect on top of the other effect they gain from discarding normally. They also tend to focus on DEF rather than ATK, so Formation allows them to attack in Defense Position.

There isn't really much of a theme this time around, it's mostly just me wanting to make a LIGHT discard thing, and this is what ended up happening. It's also been a fair bit since my last archetype, so I am probably rusty.

1 Fun little change that would be cool is instead of activating the Fusion spell normally, it activated in response to being discarded. Love the idea of this archetype, worried how hurtful ash and called by are to the game plan, but it would definitely be fun to mess around with. Also, the first Fusion monster's effect is a little unclear, are you referring to the materials used for its summon? One more cool idea is a fusion monster that activates in response to discarding cards and allows you to fusion summon by shuffling back those discarded cards. Lastly, a trap card that had a really good effect when discarded and a GY effect would be cool!

Sleepy just gave me a really good idea that I think would work well here to! Maybe instead of making the discard a cost that will happen even if the effect is negated for all of them, you can make the discard a mandatory part of the effect that precedes the other positive portion!

I don't feel like doing the work to change that
