Royal Musketeers! (Remastered)

This is something I've been meaning to do for a while. I wanted to refresh my custom card making skills by revisiting an older theme I created a while back and really fine tuning it. Trimming unnecessary effects when needed, cleaning text to look better (and read better), all the good stuff 

I've always enjoyed working on these. These cards follow the Disney version of the 3 Musketeers story (if I could create card art the counter trap would feature at least 3 musketeers standing tall over a defeated captain)

The main deck monsters all summon themselves while restricting you to the archetypal extra deck, and the extra deck links all do things when special summoned (exception for captain) 

 

Royal Musketeer Edward 

Level 4 / Earth / Warrior / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control a “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Edward”: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster from your Deck to your hand, except “Royal Musketeer Edward”. You can only use 1 effect of “Royal Musketeer Edward” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Royal Musketeer Leonard  

Level 4 / Earth / Warrior / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control a “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Leonard”: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster in your GY, except “Royal Musketeer Leonard”; Special Summon it. You can only use 1 effect of “Royal Musketeer Leonard” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Royal Musketeer Pierre 

Level 4 / Earth / Warrior / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control a “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Pierre”: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster from your Deck, except “Royal Musketeer Pierre” in defense position. You can only use 1 effect of “Royal Musketeer Pierre” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Royal Musketeer Tristan 

Level 4 / Earth / Warrior / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control a “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Tristan”: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster from your hand, except “Royal Musketeer Tristan”. You can only use 1 effect of “Royal Musketeer Tristan” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Royal Musketeer Louis 

Level 4 / Earth / Warrior / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control a “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Louis”: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Set card your opponent controls; return it to the hand. You can only use 1 effect of “Royal Musketeer Louis” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Royal Musketeer Olivier

Level 4 / Earth / Warrior / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control a “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Olivier”: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: you can discard 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster, except “Royal Musketeer Olivier”; draw 1 card. You can only use 1 effect of “Royal Musketeer Olivier” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Loyal Hound of the Royal Musketeers 

Level 4 / Earth / Beast / Effect 

1000 attack / 1800 defense 

If you control no monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in defense position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. If a “Royal Musketeer” monster(s) you control would be destroyed (by battle or by an opponent’s card effect), you can send this card from your hand or field to the GY instead. You can only use 1 effect of “Loyal Hound of the Royal Musketeers” per turn, and only once that turn. 

 

Musical Jester of the Royal Musketeers 

Link 3 / Earth / Warrior / Link / Effect 

Link Material: 3 “Royal Musketeer” monsters

Link Markers: Left, Down, Right 

1000 attack 

If this card is in your GY: You can tribute 1 non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monster; Special Summon this card from your GY. If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 “Musketeer” Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Musical Jester of the Royal Musketeers” once per turn. 

 

Supervisor of the Royal Musketeers 

Link 4 / Earth / Warrior / Link / Effect 

Link Materials: 2+ “Royal Musketeer” monsters

Link Markers: Left, Bottom Left, Down, Bottom Right 

1800 attack 

If this card is in your GY: You can tribute 1 non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monster; Special Summon this card from your GY. If this card is Special Summoned: You can Special Summon any number of “Royal Musketeer Tokens” (Level 4/EARTH/Warrior/ATK:1000/DEF:1800). While any of those Tokens are on your field you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except “Royal Musketeer” monsters. You can only use each effect of “Supervisor of the Royal Musketeers” once per turn. 

 

Captain of the Royal Musketeers 

Link 5 / Earth / Warrior / Link / Effect 

Link Materials: 2+ “Royal Musketeer” monsters 

Link Markers: Left, Bottom Left, Down, Bottom Right, Right 

2400 attack 

If this card is in your GY: You can tribute 1 non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monster; Special Summon this card from your GY. When a Spell/Trap Card is activated (Quick Effect): You can tribute 1 other “Royal Musketeer” monster; negate the activation. You can only use each effect of “Captain of the Royal Musketeers” once per turn. 

 

Princess’s Assistant of the Royal Musketeers 

Link 6 / Earth / Warrior / Link / Effect 

Link Materials: 2+ “Royal Musketeer” monsters 

Link Markers: Top Left, Left, Bottom Left, Down, Bottom Right, Right 

2700 attack 

If this card is in your GY: You can tribute 1 non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monster; Special Summon this card from your GY. If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; return it to the hand. You can only use each effect of “Princess’s Assistant of the Royal Musketeers” once per turn. 

 

Princess of the Royal Musketeers 

Link 7 / Earth / Warrior / Link / Effect 

Link Materials: 2+ “Royal Musketeer” monsters 

Link Markers: Top Left, Left, Bottom Left, Down, Bottom Right, Right, Top Right 

3200 attack 

If this card is in your GY: You can tribute 1 non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monster; Special Summon this card from your GY. If this card is Special Summoned: You can Shuffle up to 1 card from your opponent’s field and GY into the Deck. You can only use each effect of “Princess of the Royal Musketeers” once per turn.

 

Castle of the Musketeers 

Spell - Field 

Your opponent cannot activate any cards or effects when you Summon a “Royal Musketeer” monster(s). During your Main Phase: You can target 5 “Royale Musketeer” monsters and/or “Musketeer” Spell/Trap cards in your GY; Shuffle all 5 into the Deck, and if you do, gain 1000 LP, then draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of “Castle of the Musketeers” once per turn. 

 

Musketeer Recruitment 

Spell - Normal 

Add 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster from your Deck or GY to your hand. During your opponent’s End Phase, if this card is in your GY, and you control 3 or more “Royal Musketeer” monsters with different names: You can add this card from your GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Musketeer Recruitment” once per turn. 

 

Training of the Musketeers 

Spell - Continuous 

You can activate the effects of “Royal Musketeer” monsters in your hand or GY, as Quick Effects. During your Main Phase: You can target 1 “Royal Musketeer” monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of “Training of the Musketeers” once per turn. 

 

All For One, and One For All! 

Spell - Quickplay 

( This card is always treated as a “Musketeer” card ). 

If you control 5 or more non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monsters with different names: destroy all cards your opponent controls, also your opponent takes no further battle damage this turn. You can only activate 1 “All For One, and One For All! per turn. 

 

Musketeer Sword-Fighting 

Trap - Normal 

Target 1 non-Link “Royal Musketeer” monster you control and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy them. If you control 3 or more “Royal Musketeer” monsters with different names when this card was activated, you can target up to 2 cards your opponent controls instead. You can only activate 1 “Musketeer Sword-Fighting” per turn. 

 

Musketeers Win the Day! 

Trap - Counter 

When a monster effect is activated: tribute 2 “Royal Musketeer” monsters; Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster. If you control 3 or more “Royal Musketeer” monsters with different names you can activate this card from your hand. You can only activate 1 “Musketeers Win the Day!” per turn.
