Problamatico
Spirit Ryu Ascended Level: 8 Attribute: Wind Type: Dragon / Spirit ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500 Effect: Cannot be Special summoned except from the hand by tributing one "Spirit Ryu" from your side of the field. During the End Phase of the turn this card is summoned: Return it to the hand. Each time your opponent activates a card effect while this card is face-up on your side of the field: Pay 2000 LP; negate it. During your Battle Step, if this card battles (Quick Effect): Excavate 10 cards from the top of your deck. Send all Dragon type monsters excavated by this effect to your GY; this card gains 1000 ATK for each Dragon type monster sent to the GY by this effect until the end of your Battle Phase. Shuffle the remaining cards back into the deck.
KH911
I like the idea, but I feel like a multi use omninegate on top of what would typically be at least 8k ATK is a bit too much. Especially considering it sends the dragons to the GY, when most dragons want to be in the GY makes this ban worthy. I would pick one or the other, but not both. Actually if you think about it, the negates are mandatory. So they can basically make you waste your negates and burn you for huge damage if not full LP. That's supposed to be the main caveat. 1 minute ago, Problamatico said: Actually if you think about it, the negates are mandatory. Also the fact that it's a high level spirit monster is also a nerf
Animav
I got to agree with what KH mentioned; this card is deceptively crazy. Yeah, the negates are mandatory, which just means that if you turbo this out (probably not hard considering how much support there is for Dragons, and that you can Special Summon this for a Spirit Ryu) and don't get interrupted, you're often guaranteed that your combos will go unhindered, because you can just negate any annoying handtrap or monster effect that might try to stop your plays. And if you're ever left on the brink and don't want to lose that last bit of life, you can easily Link Ascended away before that becomes an issue. It might look like it is just a worse LaDD, but that one monster can't be Special Summoned, period, so potentially getting it out on the same turn becomes way harder. You're essentially trading 1 negate (LaDD 4 Vs Ascended 3; assuming 8k LP) for more consistency, and since 4 is overkill anyway, you probably won't notice the difference. Personally, I would make the negate only work if your opponent targets a Dragon monster(s) you control, either keep the cost or replace it, and make it a hard Once per Turn. I don't think you can get multiple copies on the field to actually warrant such a restriction, but better safe than sorry. I don't have much to comment on the second effect, since KH already said it all, but I also don't want to it to go since it is the staple effect of its original... Maybe make it so that you can mill 1 card, and if it's a Dragon, you can keep milling until you either reach 5 or you mill a non-Dragon? Probably still borked, but I don't really know what alternative there is...
