First post ever! I thought of actually introducing myself in the proper section, but I decided to drop some cards I made in my spare time as my way to say hello instead. Also, you could say this is my first attempt at making custom cards, so if you have some serious critique, feel free to let me know!

Hyperdimension Neptunia, as you may know, is a rather niche, JRPG series. Developed by Compile Heart and published by Idea Factory, the games follows the adventures of the titular character -- Neptune -- as she travels through different dimensions and beats up bad guys. Typical anime stuff, and I adore it.

I admittedly don't have a clear idea on what to do with this as a potential archetype (mostly because I just made these 5 cards and not much else), but I think it would be something like a set of sub-archetypes each led by a main character, and focusing on a different summoning mechanic -- Neptune here being focused on Synchro Summoning and how to take advantage from it, for instance.

If I come up with new cards, I will update this thread. (I can post new caryor do I need to just edit the main post instead? Might as well ask now, I guess)

 Monsters (4)

CPU Partner - IF

Level 2 / Wind / Warrior / Effect / Tuner

1000 ATK / 400 DEF

If this card was added to your hand by a monster effect: You can Special Summon it. You can discard this card from your hand: Add 1 other "CPU" monster from your Deck or GY to your hand. If this card was used for the Synchro Summoning of a Level 9 or higher monster: Draw 1 card. You can only activate each effect of "CPU Helper - IF" once per turn.[/spoiler]

CPU Partner - Compa

Level 2 / Light / Spellcaster / Effect

200 ATK / 1800 DEF

During your Standby Phase: You can reveal this card in your hand; add 1 "CPU Helper - IF" from your GY to your hand. If a Spell/Trap is activated (Quick Effect): You can discard this card from your hand; add 1 "CPU" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand.

Those two are both searchers, and in IF's case, one of the Tuners of the would-be archetype. I grouped these two together because they're supposed to have synergy with each other, with Compa being able to search IF, and IF then Special Summoning herself out of it. I thought about making that Special Summon to balance it, but ultimately left it like that. Compa originally searched from both Deck and GY, but I realized that was a little bit too wide an array of locations to search from, and finally settled on a GY search for recursion. Another idea I had for Compa was for her to be able to Special Summon herself if IF was on your side of the field, but dropped it in favor of being a pure searcher instead.

CPU - Lost Purple Heart

Level 10 / Light / Warrior / Effect

1 Tuner + 1 "CPU - Purple Heart" + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

2900 ATK / 2300 DEF

This card gains 200 ATK for every Synchro Material used to summon it. This Synchro Summoned card is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. When this card is Synchro Summoned: Return any number of cards from your hand to your Deck, then target the same number of cards in your GY; add them back to your hand. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap: Discard 1 Spell/Trap from your hand; negate the activation, and if you do, return that card to the bottom of the Deck.

The evolution of the Boss Monster of the Neptune series of cards. I took heavy inspiration from Baronne de Fleur while making this card, even if I went a completely different way at some point while making it. I went bonkers with the effect because, considering how hard it would be to bring out, I thought that the effect should have a good payoff in return. It isn't very splashable, since it does need a named monster as material, but that was my idea with it regardless. The first effect -- raising ATK permanently -- is going to be a mainstay of these Extra Deck monsters, as I wanted to replicate the concept of f Shares from the Neptunia series into these cards somehow.

CPU Candidate - Purple Heart

Level 5 / Light / Warrior / Effect

1 Synchro Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

2000 ATK / 1200 DEF

This card cannot be Special Summoned. When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish 1 Synchro monster in your GY; this card gains ATK equal to its Level x 200. Once per Chain, when a card or effect that targets a card on the field or GY is activated (Quick Effect): Pay 1000 LP; negate the activation, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot negate that same type of card. If this card you control is destroyed and sent to the GY by an opponent's card: Target 1 one of your banished Synchro monsters; Special Summon it.

This card. Honestly, I only made this card after finding out that there was a newly released OVA of the series, and I liked the whole deal with this transformation. The idea was making it a less powered version of the above card, but somewhere along the way, I ended up making it even stronger instead. It's more or less a joke card, since I didn't make a serious effort with it, but since I did end up finishing it, I might as well put it in here as well.

CPU Virus - Level Drain

Spell

Pay 1000 LP: Target 1 Level 8 or higher Synchro monster; its Level becomes 1 and it's treated as a Tuner until the end of this turn, but its effects are negated. If you only control Synchro monsters: You can banish this card in your GY; this turn, you can also use monsters in your hand as materials for a Synchro Summon. You cannot Special Summon the turn you activate this effect, except "CPU" monsters.

Another card I didn't put much thought while designing it, since the whole purpose of it is making that Level 5 Purple Heart easier to summon. However, I did try to make this card something like a negation against high level Synchro monsters as well a la Droplet but less universally applicable. Of course, the most ridiculous and potentially broken effect in the whole card is that "Synchro Summon from the hand" deal. The idea was to make it something like a Polymerization effect, in that you could also discard cards from your hand as materials, but unlike that one, it must also include a monster in the field. The wording in that effect isn't the best, unfortunately, but hopefully this made things clear enough. I personally think it's a good idea, regardless, and might make a better card with the same effect later.

So... What do you guys think? I'm still working on some more cards -- namely, that "CPU - Neptune" card -- but any feedback is appreciated and most certainly will affect my design choices going forward. Also, nice to meet you all!
