This is my story, it's my first time making one so let me know if i should go on.

 

 

 

My Days At Duel Academy

 

 

 

CHAPTER 1: DAY 1

 

Hey! My name is Sukasa Miyazaki. I remember my first day at duel academy, it was a living nightmare! I was completely unprepared, and on top of that, I woke up late! I’m gonna tell you how it all started. I was sleeping at my house, having the most wonderful dream, when all of a sudden….

BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!

“Okay! Okay, geeze.” I looked at the clock and it was 7:42 A.M.

“Oh crap! Its almost 8! I gotta be at the exams at 8.” I got up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, grabbed a bagel and ran out the door. I had been planning for this day ever since I was little, but my mom was too over protective. But now, I’m 15 years old, and ready to take on the world!

“Oh my gosh it’s...” I looked down at my watch and it read 7:58 A.M.

“Holy crap!” And that’s when she appeared. Riding on a crystal-silver moped.

“Need a lift?” she said, smiling with a face that seemed too angelic for heaven.

“…yeah.” I said, stunned.

“Where to?”

“Your hea—DUEL ACADEMY!!”

“Cool, because that’s where im heading.” When we got there, the main door to the academy had just closed so we ran up to the door and started knocking really loudly.

“Come on! Open up! Oh yeah, I never did ask for your name.”

“Kime and yours?”

“Miyazaki, Sukasa Miyazaki. Nice to meet you.”

“You too.” To me, she was like an angel. She was slim, in shape, with Honey-Golden eyes and long white hair with somewhat tan skin. We kept knocking on the door until someone finally opened up. It was a man, probably a student, with a black trench coat and spiky-black hair.

“What the heck do you guys WANT?!”

“We came for the duel exams to get into the academy.”

“Well to bad! Its past 8 and you’re late, so get lost! The Chazz doesn’t have time for this.”

“But we--”

“I SAID GET LOST!” then, a boy with a slifer-red jacket, with brown hair and orange highlights came up.

“Come on Chazz! Lighten up a bit, would ya?”

“What ever, you deal with these losers. I’m going to go watch the exams.”

“Catch ya later bro! So, you guys are new huh?”

“Yeah, my name is Sukasa”

“I’m Kime. It’s nice to meet you.”

“My name’s Jaden Yuki, it’s nice to meet you Sukasa and Kime. And welcome to duel academy!” Jaden led us to the duel field, where the exams were held and gave our names to a teacher who was very tall and had blonde hair that was in a long pony-tail.

“Okay guys, the teacher will call you guys when it’s your turn to take the exams. I’ll be watching from upstairs. Good luck you two.”

“Wow, he sure was nice, don’t you think?”

“yeah.” A few duels had gone by and now they were down to the last lists of names.

“Up next, we have….Kimeyasha Hagorashi.”

“Wish me luck Sukasa.” She winked at me, and walked down to the field.

“Young lady, my name is Eric, and I will be your proctor for today. You will duel against me and I will mentally grade you as the duel progresses. Based on your performance, your rank will be judged by your dueling skills, knowledge, and flow of the overall duel. You will either be placed in Obelisk-blue, being the highest rank, Ra-yellow, being the middle rank, or Slifer-red, being the lowest rank, depending on your grade. This is your duel disk. Insert your deck and we shall begin.”

“Okay.”

“Duel!” they both say in unison.

Kime = 4000

Eric = 4000

“Ladies first, I draw one card. Hmm… I summon Bountiful Artemis in attack mode! (ATK/1600 DEF/1700) And I place two cards face down (Negate Attack and Magic Drain), that will end my turn.”

“I draw. I summon Vorse Raider in attack mode! He has an attack of 1900! Now GO! Destroy her Monster! VICIOUS AXE ATTACK!!!

“~sigh~ I activate – Negate Attack! The battle is negated and the battle phase ends as well, and on top of that, ARTEMIS LETS ME DRAW AN EXTRA CARD!!! And now that my counter-trap has resolved, I can tribute every monster on my side of the field to summon Voltanis the Adjudicator (ATK/2800 DEF/1400) from my hand to the field in attack position. Then, for every fairy tributed, I can destroy the same amount of cards on the field, and I choose your Vorse Raider.”

“Fine, I discard one card from my hand to play Lightning Vortex!”

“I chain Magic Drain! You can send a spell from your hand to stop it or let it be destroyed.”

“I have no spell cards in my hand at the time so I will let it be destroyed”

“Thanks, because now I can special summon Van’Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord directly to the field, and since my trap destroyed your spell, you take 1500 hundred points of direct damage because of Van’s effect!”

“AAGGHHH!!!”

Kime = 4000

Eric = 2500

“I’ll end with a face-down.”

“Hee hee, it’s my move, I draw! I activate Mystical Space Typhoon on your face-down!”

“You’ve triggered – Dark Coffin! Now a random card will be discarded from your hand. I choose the one on the far left!”

“My Kuriboh! Anyway! You are wide open, so, Voltanis the Adjudicator, ERADICATE HIS REMAINING LIFE POINTS!!! MAJESTIC SCEPTOR STRIKE!!”

“AAAGGHHHH!!!!”

Kime = 4000

Eric = 0

“Yay! I win! Sukasa, I did it!”

“Way to go Kime!” I yelled out from the crowd.

“(Eric) Congratulations Kime, you will here by be placed in Obelisk-blue”

“Last but not least, we have Sukasa Miyazaki.” I then walked down the stairs to the dueling field where Kime was coming up at.

“Good luck Sukasa!” she said then winked. My face had turned beet red. Then, the teacher with the long hair said something.

“Oh ho-ho! You’re looking red as an apple. Any who, I just wanted to say good luck. It’s not everyday that someone gets complimented by Dr. Vellian Crowler…besides, you’ll need it. Heh-heh-heh.”

“Thanks miss!”

“…………………………………………….miss?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHO YOU’RE CALLING ‘MISS’?! YOU ARE SO LUCKY THAT I—“

“(Teacher) Dr. Crowler, im sure he didn’t mean it. Just let it go. Enjoy the duel.”

“It looks there’s another on my list, Mr. Miyazaki, Sukasa! You will never make it to Blue as long as im around. I will see to it!”

 

 

 

 

CHAPTER 2: MY ENTRY EXAM

 

“All right! I’m ready!”

“Sukasa, I am known as Dean –the FIERY teacher! And I will be your duel exam proctor!”

“Looks like somebody is awfully perky today.”

“Hmm? Anyway, get your deck ready and let’s begin.”

Dean = 4000

Sukasa = 4000

“(Dean) I draw! Hmm…I activate Celestial Transformation which lets me special summon one Fairy-type monster from my hand by cutting its’ attack in half and sending him to the grave at the end of my turn. I special summon Majestic Mech – Senku (ATK/500 DEF/500) and now I tribute Senku to summon Cybernetic Magician in attack mode (ATK/2400 DEF/1000). I set a card face down and that will end my turn.”

“I draw. I summon Dark Crusader in attack mode (ATK/1600 DEF/200), and now by sending a dark monster from my hand to the graveyard, my monster gains 400 for each one sent. I’ll set a card face down and now I discard 3 dark monsters (Destiny Hero – Dasher x2 and Destiny Hero – Blade Master) to make Crusader 2800, and I place 2 cards face-down and end my turn.”

“My move! I draw! Now, by discarding one card from my hand to the graveyard, I can activate my magicians’ ability. It makes one face up monsters’ ATK 2000 during this turn. And now I—“

“I activate Dark Illusion! When ever you target a DARK monster with a spell, trap, or with a monster effect, the card is negated and destroyed. So I select you Cybernetic Magician, and it’s destroyed.”

“Very well then, I summon one monster in face down defense position and I’ll end my turn.”

“My Move. I draw. And now if I draw a monster, I can show it to you and special summon it thanks to my Destiny Hero – Dashers’ ability, now that he is in the grave. The monster I drew was Invader of Darkness (ATK/2900 DEF/2500), so now he’s special summoned to my field in attack mode. Now I activate Nobleman of Crossout on your face-down card.”

“~grunts~ Man-Eater Bug”

“Now we both have to check our decks and remove any monster with the same name. I don’t have any”

“Me either.”

“So now I attack you directly with Dark Crusader! Go! Dark-Death Renegade Slash!”

“Ahhh!!”

Dean = 1200

Sukasa = 4000

“Now! Invader of Darkness ends this with Dark Penalty Wave!”

“AAHHHH!”

Dean = 0

Sukasa = 4000

“Game.”

“Well congratulations on—“

“(Crowler) THAT UNGRATEFUL CHILD WILL BE PLACED IN SLIFER-RED!”

“But Dr., he clearly—“

“I DON’T CARE IF HE WAS THE PRESIDENT’S SON!! HE’S A SLIFER!!”

“Very well. Miyazaki Sukasa, you shall here by be placed in Slifer-red”

“……..aww, oh well. I tried right?” ~Meanwhile, in the crowd~

“Hey, Jay! That Sukasa kid seems like a pretty good duelist huh?”

“You bet Sy, I can’t wait to see what else he can do.” I had begun to walk up the stairs when I noticed a man with grayish hair, with a nice white suit glaring at me. It was so strange. I did nothing to provoke him in any way. I wonder why he was staring at me like that.

“Hey Aster, ease up a bit soldier, you look tense”

“He had a Dasher….only I run Destiny – Hero’s”

“Chill out soldier. It was probably just a coincidence.”

“Well we’ll just find out. Wont we Hassleberry?”

“I’m afraid I don’t follow ya soldier.” As soon as I walked towards him, he grabbed my arm and stopped me to say:

“Hey Sukasa, do you mind me asking what your favorite cards in your deck are?”

“Sure. The cards are Dark Crusader and Destiny Hero – Dogma.”

“…….” At that moment, he seemed like he wanted to kill me. He got up and left.

“Did I do something to make him mad?”

“’the heck if I know. That Aster Phoenix is always getting angry. You know, he uses Destiny Heroes as well. ‘Matter of fact, his father was the guy the gut that made them in the first place. But I think he went missing or something like that, so those cards mean the world to him”

“Maybe that’s why he’s angry at me.”

“That would explain it. Oh yeah! You can call me Hassleberry! I like to hang out with Jaden and them at the Slifer-red dorm so I’ll be seein’ you around.”

“You too.” I then continued walking up the stairs looking for Kime. She was at the very top with a girl who had long blonde hair. They were both really pretty, so I was stunned for words.

“H-h-hey K-kime, umm…”

“Hey Sukasa! Sukasa, this is Alexis. Alexis, this is Sukasa.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Sukasa.”

“It’s nice to meet you too, Alexis.” They both giggled and smiled at me.

“(Alexis) Hey Kime, come by my room later on. I wanna introduce you to some friends ‘kay?”

“Yeah. Sure. I’ll see ya later then. Hey Sukasa, do you wanna—“

“Come in soldier! Let me show you to yer room!”

“Hey! But What about Ki—“

“NO TIME SOLDIER!” Hassleberry picked me up and tossed me over his shoulder like I was a feather. Then he took off down the hallway.

“Hey1 I was talking to her! You could’ve at least warned me!”

“SORRY, BUT THERE’S NO TIME! IS I DON’T GET YOU YO YER ROOM NOW, SOMEONE ELSE WILL TAKE IT. THERE ARE OTHER NEW STUDENTS TOO YA KNOW.”

“Oh yeah. I completely forgot.”

 

 

 

 

 

CHAPTER 3: UKNOWN BEST-FRIEND

 

 

We finally got to my room. It was #206, a few doors away from Jaden’s. We walked in and Hassleberry dropped my bags down. I didn’t even know that he was carrying them.

“Come to Jay’s in about an hour so we can hang out!”

“All right, see you then.”

“Catch ya later!” he said, running off. I unpacked my stuff and put everything where it needed to be and lied down on my bed. I took out my deck and began to revise some strategies. That was when I noticed that one of my cards began to glow with a shadowy-purple aura. It was my Dark Crusader. I didn’t know why he was glowing. He just was. I moved it close to my face to see if I could see what was making it glow.

“BOO!!” said a very dark, rugged, voice. I dropped the card and jumped up, hitting the bottom of the top bunk bed.

“W-w-w-what?! YOU JUST TALKED?! No, im just a little tired, that’s all. Though, I could have sworn the card just said something to me.”

“I did, human.”

“WELL WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?!”

“I’ve been talking to ya; you just never listen, human.”

“My name is Sukasa. So you’ve really been talking to me this entire time?”

“Duh. You aren’t a bright one, are you?”

“….”

“Heheheheh…” His body seemed to come out of the card and become solid before my eyes. I thought that it was some type of witch-craft, but it wasn’t.

“Wow.” That was all I could say.

“You clearly have never seen a ‘duel spirit’ before, have you? Well, now that you see me, you will see everyone’s duel spirit. Some people don’t know that they have one, but not everyone does. You can see me now because of your encounter with the infamous Jaden Yuki. His duel spirit is Winged Kuriboh. It’s a flying fur ball with wings that might make a nice snack. Heheheh.” He seemed scary, but cool at the same time. I have had dreams about him coming to life but I never knew that it would be like this.

“I have so much to ask but so little time to do so. My first question is: can others see you?”

“No. unless they have a duel spirit as well.”

“Next: can you—like, talk to me if I summon you?”

“Yes. Anything else?”

“How big is your Sword?

“~sighs~ 3 feet around. Anything else—STOP WITH THE STUPID FREAKIN QUESTIONS!! Stupid human. I am here to make sure you don’t die. That is what he told me.”

“Who’s he?”

“The Dark Creator, he is the creator of ALL things Dark. No more questions, someone is coming.”

“How do you know that?” I got up and opened the door, and before I said anything, Kime was standing there.

“Oh, hi. Did you know I was coming?”

“No, it was…a lucky guess. What’s up?”

“Nothing really, I was bored so I wanted to spend some time with you.”

“Heheh, is this your woman?”

“No.”

“Oh. Okay, I didn’t know you didn’t want to be bothered. I’ll just go ahead and leave—“

“NO, NO, no, I was talking to myself. I’d love to go walking with you! I mean…if it’s okay.”

“Of course it is! Let’s go!” She hooked her arm under mine and began to walk. I closed the door behind me when we started to leave. We walked down the pathway to the stairs. That was when Hassleberry popped out and dragged both of us into a room.

“Come on in Sukasa, yer right on schedule. Take a seat soldier. I’ll pull a chair out for the misses.”

“~whispers~ I don’t think I had much of a choice”

“Aww, thank you Hassleberry, my name is Kime.”

“Great, more stupid humans. Some with thick heads, others with no brains.”

~How does she know Hassleberry's name? He didnt say hers. Hmm....~

“(A short boy with turquoise hair) Hello? Are you okay there, pal? You must be Sukasa. I’m Syrus Truesdale—Jaden’s best friend and Zane Truesdale’s little brother.”

“Who’s Zane?”

“Wow! Are you serious?! You’ve never heard of my big bro before?!”

“Nope. Not a thing.”

“(Jaden) is this true Sukasa? Zane is an awesome duelist! Just like yours truly. Heh-heh.”

“(Kime) I know about Zane. Didn’t he start losing a lot and went emo then crushed everyone while losing the feeling of dueling?”

“(Syrus) Yeah! Wow Kime! You’re smart! You know, it’s not everyday that I…”

“Heheheheh…”

“~what is it? ~”

“That girl…has a secret…she’s afraid of something…either that, or she’s plotting”

“~Why do you say that? She seems perfectly fine. I think she just catches on fast, that’s all. ~”

“………”

 

 

 

CHAPTER 4: THE TRUTH

 

 

“Hey guys, I’m gonna go for a walk. ~Come on. ~”

“Im not your puppet, human.” I walked out the door, and then down the stairs. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. I then began to walk down a trail in the forest.

“Okay, no one is around, so explain this all to me again. Who is the Dark Creator? What’s up with Kime? And why am I involved in this mess?!”

“The Dark Creator is the creator of ALL things Dark. With light, comes darkness. Good-evil, yin-yang, heaven-hell, Earth and Dark World. This may seem stupid, but this is more than just a mere game. You play around here, your dancing with The Dark Ruler. You don’t have to believe me if you don’t want to, but EVERYONE has their dark side. There is a Light Creator and a Dark one. The Light of Destruction is upon us. Nah, im just kidding, but you’re all gonna die.”

“WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘WERE ALL GONNA DIE’?”

“Look human, you won’t understand…”

“Yes I will! Just tell me!”

“How ‘bout I show you?” He held his hand out and it began to glow with the same aura his card glowed. His eyes turned red and he grabbed the top of my head with the hand that was glowing. It appears that it was some kind of trance. But I ended up in Domino City.

“This is Domino City now…” I saw people walking and living out their daily lives. There seemed to be nothing wrong, unless I missed it or im completely blind & oblivious to what was there.

“This is Domino City now.” Everything suddenly changed. I noticed the building beside me turn into ruble; I noticed news reporters and helicopters everywhere. That’s when I noticed that that the sky was literally black. I was on an empty street, so I decided to walk around. I passed by a store that was empty that had a T.V. in the window that was still plugged up. I walked in and turned it on. The news was on.

“I’m Kelly Robertson, reporting live from Channel 5 News. Several reports of large demonic creatures have been sited in the area. Residents are advised to get underground or evacuate the city immediately! THIS IS NOT A JOKE! THESE CREATURES ARE REPORTED TO BE HIGHLY DANGEROUS! IF YOU SEE ONE OF THESE—HOLY CRAP!” The camera showed what appeared to be a Dark Nepthys.

“That’s impossible!”

“IT SEEMS LIKE A BLACK PHOENIX IS IN OUR AREA! PLEASE, IF ANYONE IS WATCHING THIS AT HOME, RUN! BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE! I REPEAT, IF YOU—JOE!!!” The Phoenix had grabbed the camera-man with its feet and flew to the top of the KAIBA CORPORATION building and set him down. He stood up, filming this horrific sight. The Phoenix had come face-to-face with the camera man. The man let out a whimper and the bird stood up, spreading its wings apart and screeching. Then it looked at the camera man with a deep gaze and picked him up with its mouth. The camera dropped on the roof, but at an angle where you could see what was happening perfectly. The bird snared the man in his mouth and then flew down to the ground and swallowed him whole. I looked up, and the bird was right outside this store. I do not know how I missed it. That’s when I looked out the window to see the dark version of the infamous Rein-Beaux, Overlord of Dark World, and the dark version of Armed Dragon LV10 right beside the Phoenix. How could I have not heard them come? As I thought to myself, the Dark Armed Dragon had ripped the roof right off the top of the store I was in. I looked up and the Phoenix was charging a Fire-blast aimed for me. I looked straight, and there was a student in the Obelisk-blue uniform staring and smiling at me with one green eye and one blue eye and silver hair. At that time, Dark Crusader took his hand off of my head.

“That is this world’s future.”

“Impossible! How could this happen? Who was that man?!”

“That’s for you to figure out.” He stared at me and then looked straight. There was a student walking towards me.

“Hello there. Are you okay? I saw you staring into space and talking to yourself.” The student was about the same height as me, and wore a Ra-yellow jacket.

“You can call me Crow.”

“I’m Sukasa…” Crow wore his jacket open, showing the black shirt that he wore underneath it. He had black hair that came down to the bottom of his neck. He also had green eyes and three piercing in his left ear.

“…I was just having a hard time trying to understand something.”

“Are you okay enough to duel?”

“Yeah.”

"Let's begin Sukasa. You can go first.”

Sukasa: 4000

Crow: 4000

“It’s fine with me. I draw. I place 2 cards face-down (Draining Shield and Negate Attack), and I end my turn.”

“Okay. I draw a card and I summon Kaibaman in attack mode. Now I activate: White Dragon Ritual. By sending Sonic Bird—which has 4 stars, to my Graveyard, I can ritual summon the Paladin of White Dragon in attack mode. Now, I can send Kaibaman to the Graveyard to summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in attack mode! Now I’ll send Paladin of White Dragon to the Graveyard to summon another Blue-Eyes White Dragon in attack mode. This one can’t attack, but my other can! Blue-Eyes! Attack directly with White Lightning!”

”I activate Draining shield! I gain your monster’s ATK points and negate the battle.

Sukasa: 7000

Crow: 4000

“(Crow) I’ll end my turn.”

“My turn. I summon Dark Crusader in attack mode (ATK/1600 DEF/200). Now, by discarding 4 dark monsters in my hand to my Graveyard (Destiny Hero – Dasher, Destiny Hero – Dogma, Dark Crusader, Destiny Hero – Fear Monger), my Crusader gains 1600 points, which makes him 3200!; 200 points higher than your Blue-Eyes. Now, Crusader, attack! Dark-Death Renegade Slash!”

“Aagh, oh well.”

Sukasa: 7000

Crow: 3800

“End.”

“I draw one card. I activate Pot of Greed. I can draw 2 cards. Now I activate Summoner’s Art. This lets me add 1 level 5 or higher normal-monster to my hand. I select my Blue-Eyes. Now I activate my next card: Ancient Rules! This lets me summon a level 5 or higher normal-monster from my hand. I summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Now Blue-Eyes, attack! White Lightning!”

“Hmm? Strike down that Blue-Eyes!”

Crow: 3600

“Now, my second Blue-Eyes will attack”

“Attack it Crusader! ~what is he planning? ~“

Crow: 3400

“I end my turn.”

“Okaaay…I draw. Dark Crusader, attack directly!”

Sukasa: 7000

Crow: 200

“And now I’ll end my turn.”

“Ugh! Not good. Then again…I activate Dragon’s Mirror! I remove 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons in my Graveyard from play to Fusion summon: BLUE-EYES ULTIMATE DRAGON (ATK/4500)!”

“Whoa.”

“Now my Ultimate Dragon, attack Triple White Lighting!”

“I activate Negate Attack!”

“Okay. End.”

“Crap, I draw one card. I activate the field spell card: Mystic Plasma Zone! All dark monsters gain 500 ATK but lose 400 DEF. so my Crusader is 3700.”

“Humph.”

“I’m not done. I equip him with Lightning Blade, which give him 800 more points. That makes him 4500! Now—“

“You wouldn’t…”

“Dark Crusader, attack—Kamikaze! Take down that Dragon! Dark-Death Renegade Strike!” the Crusader jumped into the air, carrying his giant sword behind him. Then he struck, causing the light & dark auras to clash, creating a huge explosion that knocked Crow and I onto our backs. “End.”

“I draw…” he smiled. “I place a card face-down and end.”

“I draw. Since there is a Dasher in my Graveyard, I can show you a monster in my hand and automatically summon it—Invader of Darkness! Now I attack! Eradicate his remaining life points!!!”

“Aaaaa-aaarrghh!!!”

Sukasa: 7000

Crow: 0

“Game.”

"(Crow) You beat me..."

"Fun game though."

"Yeah, you're right. I--" He suddenly paused, staring towards the Red Dorms. I looked, and Kime was walking towards us with a smile on her face.

"Hey Sukasa! Why'd you come over here?"

"Well, i just needed to go for a walk and then i met Crow. He's a nice guy. Hey Crow, why dont you say..." when i looked back, a small black cloud that resembled Crow's body had dispersed before my eyes. "Kime! Did you see--" I looked back at Kime, but she was gone too. ~What is going on?~ This was all too sudden and strange. I just dueled a guy and burst into some sort of cloud or smoke, then, a beautiful girl that i just met, vanished without a trace! "Crusader! What's going on?!"

"(Dark Crusader) What?" Back behind a tree, 24 feet exactly, Kime stood, panting.

"(Kime) *Pant* *Pant* That was close." She reached inside her shirt and pulled out an amulet with 5 small-pendants on it. One of the pendant glowed with a shadowy-purple color. "So sorry Crow, but i cant let you get in my way. Not you, or anyone else will stop me from releasing The Dark Creator. Once i do that, Sukasa will be mine forever. Oh, Sukasa..."

"(Crows voice, coming from the amulet) If you love Sukasa, than why dont you just tell him instead of killing the world for him?"

"Because, if Sukasa knew that all of this was planned, he wouldnt like me. But once i fill up 4 more pendants, he'll have no choice but to. It's not easy being the daughter of a creator of darkness you know."

"Daughter?"

"You heard me, my daddy needs 5 souls of purity to be offered to him."

"Perfect." She put the pendant back in her shirt and walked off.

...hmm well you could have been a little more detailed in the duels. Another thing, you could have drawn out the duels by making them more interesting. The main characters breezing through these duels with no problem. You should make your duels more interesting by having both combatants put up an interesting fight; Make the reader ask, 'How's he going to get out of this one?'. Other than that, not bad.

CHAPTER 5: DESTINY’S MASTER

 

 

I continued my walk through the forest trying to figure out what I just saw.

“What just happened? This is weird. Maybe I’m just tired I guess. Now im talking to myself. I better see the Chancellor, maybe he can help.” I looked to my left and looked at the Crusader walking slowly beside me. The black armor he wore could easily tell someone that he was strong not only in strength, but in mind as well.

“(Dark Crusader) what are you looking at…human?”

“Nothing…im just a little delirious I guess.” I kept walking and saw the student named Aster Phoenix.

“You’re Sukasa, right?” he asked.

“Yeah.”

“So you use D-Heroes, correct?”

“…yeah,”

“You know, my father made these cards, and im the only one who has them.” He came close to me and got in my face. “How’d you get yours?”

“I don’t remember, I was little, and my father gave them to me.”

“Don’t lie to me. Where’d you get em?!”

“I told you. I don’t remember”

“Hmph. Fine with me. How about we settle this in a duel. If I win, you tell me where you got your cards, but if you win, I’ll leave you alone. What do you say, Sukasa?”

“Fine. Get ready.”

“Duel” we both said.

Aster: 4000

Sukasa: 4000

“I’ll go first Sukasa! First, I summon Destiny hero – Diamond Dude! And I’ll use his effect! I can look at the top card on my deck, and if it happens to be a Normal Spell card, it goes to my grave and I can activate it next turn.” He looked at the card and smiled. “Well what do you know, it is. I’ll send Destiny Draw to the Graveyard and I’ll equip Diamond Dude with Cyclone Blade, and end with a face-down.”

“My move. ~Wall of Illusion! Yes! ~ I’ll set one monster face-down and end my turn.”

“My turn. Now I’ll activate the spell in my Graveyard: Destiny Draw! By discarding a D-hero, I can draw two cards. I’ll discard my Disk Commander. Now I’ll summon Destiny Hero – Capitan Tenacious in attack mode! Now Diamond Dude! Attack his face-down!”

“You’ve attacked: Wall of Illusion! You take 450 and your monster returns to your hand! Thus destroying the equip card.”

Aster: 3550

Sukasa: 4000

“I’ll set a card face-down and end my turn.”

“(Sukasa) my turn. I’ll tribute my Wall to summon Destiny Hero – Dasher! Now I attack your Capitan Tenacious!”

“I reveal my trap card: D-Shield! This puts my monster in defense position and prevents it from being destroyed by battle.”

“Crap, now since my Dasher attacked, he goes to defense mode. I’ll set a card and end.”

“My move. I’ll summon my Diamond Dude again and will attack your Dasher. DIAMOND STRIKE!!!” The monster jumped up in the air and crushed my Dasher like it was nothing. “And now I’ll use Diamond Dude’s effect.” He drew and smiled again. “This time it’s not a spell Sukasa. This time it’s a monster, MY Dasher! I’ll set another card and end my turn. Make this turn worth it Sukasa.”

“….my turns. I draw. I activate: Dark Eruption! This lets me return one DARK monster with 1500 ATK or less to my hand. I select my Wall of Illusion! Now I’ll summon my own Destiny Hero – Diamond Dude. I won’t use his effect but I will equip him with: Fusion Sword Murasame Blade. This gives him 800 more ATK points. Now I’ll attack your Diamond Dude!”

Aster: 2750

Sukasa: 4000

“I’ll end.” As soon as I said that, he looked furious.

“That’s it! Play time is over! I Draw. Because there’s a Dasher in my Graveyard, I can show you a monster when I draw one and Special Summon it! Say hello to Destiny Hero – Double Dude! Now I activate the Field Spell: Dark City! When a Destiny Hero monster attacks someone stronger, they gain 1000 ATK points! I’ll activate D-Chain and equip it to Double Dude, making him 1500. Now Attack his Diamond Dude! He raises to 2500 because he’s weaker than your monster!” (Double dude= 2500; Diamond dude=2200)

Aster: 2750

Sukasa: 3700

“Now you take an extra 500 cause of D-Chain!”

Aster: 2750

Sukasa: 3200

“Almost forgot, HE CAN ATTACK TWICE!!! ATTACK DIRECTLY!! DOUBLE CHAIN STRIKE!!”

“(Sukasa) Aaarrrgghhh!!”

“Ugh! I draw.”

“(Crusader) Hi-ya human.”

“I summon: Dark Crusader! And I’ll discard 2 DARK monsters (D-Hero – Defender and Wall of Illusion) to raise his ATK to 2400! Now I reveal my face-down: Heavy Storm, so all Spell and Trap cards are dead! Now, your field spell and your equip cards are gone, leaving both of them very vulnerable. Dark Crusader, attack Double Dude with DARK-DEATH RENEGADE STRIKE!!!”

Aster: 1350

Sukasa: 700

“(Aster) because you destroyed Double Dude, I get 2 Double tokens in defensive mode!”

“I set one card and end my turn.”

“~why is Sukasa so calm? Doesn’t he know that he is about to lose…~ …Once I play this?! I TRIBUTE BOTH OF MY DOUBLE TOKENS AND A DESTINY HERO MONSTER TO SUMMON: DESTINY HERO DOGMA IN ATTACK MODE” I tried not to, but I laughed.

“What’s so funny, Sukasa?”

“I activate Compulsory Evacuation Device! This sends a monster back to the owner’s hand. I pick Dogma!”

“WHAT?! MY DOGMA?! NOO!!...I end my turn.”

“My move. Heh. One of my favorites. Since there is a Dasher in my grave, I can show you a monster and Special Summon it. I summon: the Invader of Darkness!! Now, Invader, attack directly! DARK PENALTY WAVE!!!”

Aster: 0

Sukasa: 700

“(Aster) Well, I lost, fair and square. As promised, I’ll leave you alone.” Aster begins to walk away.

“Wait!! Aster, I seriously don’t remember where I got the cards from exactly; they were just lying in an old box when we moved here 10 years ago. I was 5 at the time just living with my mother. We had just moved in. I was helping unpack boxes when I came across a black box. I opened it up, and there my deck was. My mom said she never packed a black box with cards, so it was probably my father’s, so she let me keep it after inspection of them. That’s when I got my cards.”

“Hmph. Whatever dude. I’ll see you around.” He waved and walked off.

 

 

 

this chapter was mainly a duel. i really like the next chapter, if it is not up tomorrow, it will be up on the day after or later today
