Fortune Lady Fusions (Written)

I always thought Fortune Ladies had potential for contact fusions. At first I was thinking of making 1 fusion for every combination of 2 attributes, but then i realized that would be taking the identity of Elemental Heroes, so instead I decided to make them rely on using "opposing", "same", and "different" attributes. These 4 fusions, combined with the 3 that I posted earlier and Fortune Lady Every, means that you'll have a solid extra deck that combines both fusions and synchros.

Quote

Fortune Lady Dissonance

Level 6 | Dark | Spellcaster | Fusion | Effect

2 "Fortune Lady" or "Fortune Fairy" monsters with opposing attributes
- HOPT, if this card is fusion summoned, negate all other effects on the field.
- This card gains ATK/DEF equal to its level x 400.
- During your standby phase, increase this card's level by 1
- (Quick effect, HOPT): Decrease the level of 1 spellcaster monster on the field by 3; banish 1 other monster on the field.
- During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY, you can return one of your banished spellcasters to the top of your deck, special summon this card.

Fortune Lady Harmony

Level 6 | Light | Spellcaster | Fusion | Effect

2 "Fortune Lady" or "Fortune Fairy" monsters with the same attribute
- HOPT, if this card is fusion summoned, either 1) special summon 1 "Fortune Lady" from your deck or 2) Draw 1 "Fortune Fairy"
- This card gains ATK/DEF equal to its level x 400.
- During your standby phase, increase this card's level by 1
- (Quick effect, HOPT): If another "Fortune Lady" or "Fortune Fairy" monster is special summoned, add a card that has "Fortune Lady" or "Fortune Fairy" in its text from your deck to your hand.
- During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY, you can return one of your banished spellcasters to the top of your deck, special summon this card.

Fortune Lady Void

Level 8 | Dark | Spellcaster | Fusion | Effect

6 "Fortune Lady" or "Fortune Fairy" monsters with different attributes
- HOPT,  if this card is fusion summoned, banish all other cards on the field, and inflict 150 damage for every banished card.
- This card gains ATK/DEF equal to its level x 400.
- During your standby phase, increase this card's level by 1, then, inflict 150 damage to your opponent for every banished card.
- During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY, you can return one of your banished spellcasters to the top of your deck, special summon this card.

Fortune Lady Genesis

Level 8 | Light | Spellcaster | Fusion | Effect

6 "Fortune Lady" or "Fortune Fairy" monsters with different attributes
- HOPT, if this card is fusion summoned, you can special summon up to 3 monsters with ? ATK or DEF with different names from each other, 1 each from your hand, deck, and GY, ignoring their summoning condition.
- This card gains ATK/DEF equal to its level x 400.
- During your standby phase, increase this card's level by 1
- (Quick effect): You can banish this card to special summon as much as possible of your banished spellcasters with different attributes from each other, except "Fortune Lady Genesis", but you cannot conduct your battle phase this turn.

Fortune Lady Coalescence

I'm guessing "opposing" would be:

WIND---EARTH

WATER---FIRE

LIGHT---DARK? If so I could see that and love the word choice.

I will say these conditions are really easy to achieve for some insanly powerful effects that aren't even OPT. If

each effect was a HOPT,

the 2 material ones had to use material from hand or field,

Void only did 300 Damage per card banished by her effect on summon and none during the following standby phases,

and Genis didn't allow you to conduct the battle phase the turn she is Fusion summoned or activates her GY effect.

THEN we would be in the realm of balanced.

Building of this idea, I would love to see a contact fusion that required the synchros and/or multiple really high-level ones. (Fortune Lady Rank 12 Xyz in the make?)

Yes, opposing elements means fire-water, earth-wind, and light-dark.

I was originally going to make it banish all 6 from the GY, but thought it would be too hard to summon them. I intentionally made void and genesis OP because banishing 6 fortune ladies with different attributes is actually very difficult, unless I'm not aware of a way to reliably get all of them in 2-3 turns. But yes, the effects should be HOPTs, I forgot to write it into the effects.

However, I do agree with your point on the 2 material fusions. Getting 2 fortune ladies with opposing or same attributes is pretty easy so the effects are a bit too strong. Maybe HOPTs would fix them, but I probably still need to think of some extra costs or conditions for those effects.

I'll wait for your response to before I make the necessary changes.

For the 2 material ones, why not just make it not contact fusion. Actually Quintet Magician is a good card to look at for balancing purposes, and there is already a spellcaster fusion card: Magicialized Fusion. I played both of these in a Duel LInks deck with Magician girls and it worked far better than anticipated.

I think if ALL these monsters got the aforementioned restrictions and couldn't be contact fused, I think this would be pretty good.

I think you could get away 100 Damage per every banished card on void and give both level up effects on them to EACH standby phase (including the 100 Damge effect)

Fortune Ladys are already an amazing Synchro engine that can get through your whole deck with water and de synchro. Card destruction can help fufil the GY condition exponentially. Protos a main deck monster was recently banned in a similar fassion.

Only thing I'm worried about is I'm not sure if there's enough ways to banish Fortune Ladies in order to reliably use their fusion spell. You got the synchros revival effects, a couple of Fortune Fairies, and that's about it. I was going to make some Fortune Fairy cards, but I'm having hard time thinking of effects for them, so I might instead make some s/t cards that banish Fortune Ladies.
