Space Bugs! Did you mention defence? NEGATE

Digital bugs are my favourite meme archetype and I’m happy I can make the playable in Duel Links! In TCG though… theyre not as great. Which is why i want to give them some support in the form of Space Bugs!

There are 3 main deck monsters and 1 xyz monster:

Cannot be used as Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of an Insect monster. If you control an Attack Position Level 3 LIGHT Insect monster: You can Special Summon this card from your Hand, then change the battle position of 1 monster on the field. You can only use this effect of “Space bug #1” once per turn. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Xyz Material gains this effect.

● Once per turn, when a monster effect is activated, while a Defence Position monster is on the field (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.

2+ Level 3 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters
Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's effect activations. If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can attach up to 2 Insect monsters from your Graveyard to this card as Material. Gains 500 ATK/DEF for each Defence Position monster on the field. Once per turn, if the battle position of a monster(s) on the field is changed (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 Defence Position monster on the Field; attach it to this card as material, then you can increase this card’s Rank by 2.

This is pretty sick. Interesting how the Xyz effects the main deck monsters give while attached as material aren't HOPT

 

so like you could just have 3 space bug mothers all negating stuff. Maybe a cicada king for good measure.

While the negates themselves aren’t HOPT, it is very unlikely to get a board of 3 xyz monsters with all 3 names as material, because the effects of the monsters to summon themselves *are* HOPT, so itll be hard to even get 2 of these with the same name on the field, even with digibug support

This was meant as Digital Bug support, so you could have a walking fiendish chain now also be 3 extra negates! I specifically made them only give effects in the same way as the digibugs, but maybe i should’ve just made it like zoodiacs instead, just to make digibugs even better. But now there’s the question of which is more important: power level or keeping the series uniform?

P.S. The whole “Attach materials to this card” without detaching them itself it just to be able to make a corebage or Rhinosebus with more materials.
