If you mean Pokerus then yes. What it does is increase the amount of EVs given to your Pokemon during a battle. If you train a Pokemon properly it doesn't have that much of a benifit as a Pokemon's stats can only reach a certain value.

I don't think he eats with his brain. He just melts iron and coal onto his body.
