TurkeySloth
I am currently morking on a Stellar Warrior archetype but need help translating its tribute effect used to special summon White Dwarf Stellar Warrior from Magic: the Gathering terminology to that of Yu-Gi-Oh. Before I get to my cards, I'll provide a mockup of my card format. Originally, I posted this topic here because I was unaware of any programs that allowed use of custom cards. But knowing of Dueling Book, I believe this topic can be moved to Realistic cards, if the archetype herein can be made viable (details below) because I just overhauled the archetype. IMPORTANT QUESTION: Would moving the mass counter addition effect onto the monsters and reworking the supernova effect into an effect that just evolves the monsters other than Neutron Stellar Warrior and White Dwarf stellar Warrior streamline the archetype enough to maaaaake it viable? Edit log 1. Name change from Stellar Warrior Mechanic Translation for scope-widening 2a. Proposal of a way to cheat Stellar Evolution out by with the monsters as well as addition of (i) self-recursion for Stellar Evolution and (ii) spoiler showcase for previous iterations of Stellar Evolution 2b. Movement of this section to the top to avoid hiding within a spoiler 3. Proposal for a supernova effect on the high-mass Stellar Warriors (O-type and Red/Blue Supergiant) 4. Reformatted the spoiler such that all cards will be included under a section sharing their names 5. Made mass counters trackers without an effect, reordered the mass counter placement according to actual stellar life spans, added the special summon targets to the supernova effect with cards they appear on in parentheses, and asked question above 6. Answered my own question, posted the M-, G-, and O-type Stellar Wariors (complete), posted the White Dwarf Stellar Warrior Xyz monster (ideas needed for Xyz material removal effect) Card format Name (Attribute) Lv/Rank {Type/Other-tags (if applicable)} {Rarity) Text ATK/DEF or Link Value M-type Stellar Warrior (L) 2 Warrior/Effect Place 1 mass counter on this monster at the start of each stand-by phase. Loleo
7 hours ago, TurnkeySloth said: Increase the ATK/DEF of this monster by (500?) × the number of mass counters on it. If there are (2?) or more mass counters on this monster: you can tribute this card; Special Summon "White Dwarf Stellar Warrior" from your hand or deck. Stellar Evolution Continuous Spell Place 1 mass counters on your "Stellar Warrior" monsters if you control: "M-type Stellar Warrior": At the start of each stand-by phase. "G-type Stellar Warrior" and "Red Giant Stellar Warrior": At the end of your stand-by phase (since you already said each standby phase I would recommend another phase like at the end of each Battle phase). "O-type Stellar Warrior" and "Blue Supergiant Stellar Warrior": At the start of your end phase. Evolution should also probably have a little protection and ways to be searched. TurkeySloth
Thanks for the help. I used the more vague wording for the ATK/DEF increase and special summons because the unevolved/main sequence Stellar Warriors represent a certain type of star and, thus, need different increases as well as evolution conditions. For example, the M-type evolves directly to the White Dwarf, whereas the G-type card can go through the Red Giant, if needed. Additionally, I need to think of a way to work in a supernova-type effect for the O-type and Blue Supergiant cards. Finally, the non-main sequence cards will probably have other ways to to hit the field. If I were to use a smaller increase for the M-type and make it trigger on each main phase, would I need to specify main phase 2 as well for four triggers per cylce after initial summoning?
