Atypical-Abbie Posted May 30, 2022 Report Share Posted May 30, 2022 Mechalaser is an archetype of Warrior and Machine monsters with various Attributes and Levels, though mostly 3 and 6. They focus on Union monsters, Pendulum Monsters, Equip Spells and have Pendulum Synchro/Xyz & Link Monsters, as well as Synchro/Xyz/Link Union monsters. They have a sub-archetype in Mechalaser Pilot, which you need to control for the Union monsters to be able to attack, except for Omechalaser Pilot Ultrasource since it already is a Mechalaser Pilot monster. They feature heavy searching, however all their searches comes with a discard, but you can avoid this using their Link Monsters if they are linked together with them. The don't have an exact main goal, however their boss monster is Mechalaser Pilot Maximum Dusksource, as it has the highest ATK of any of the Mechalaser Pilot monsters and a powerful Summon negation effect, though as a Level 12 Synchro Monster it does take some effort to get out in comparison to other plays, but you can simply throw a single Mechalaser Pilot on the field and equip Mechalaser Maximum Overload for a giant boost to its ATK, as long as you don't control any other cards. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can target 1 other "Mechalaser" monster in your GY; Special Summon that target in Defense Position, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Mechalaser Pilot Mistsource" once per turn. When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Mechalaser" Spell/Trap from your Deck or GY to your hand, then discard 1 card. If this card is in your hand or GY: You can banish 1 Equip Spell or Union monster from your hand or GY; Special Summon this card in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Mechalaser Pilot Sunsource" once per turn. When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 Machine Pendulum Monster from your Deck or GY to your hand or face-up in your Extra Deck, then discard 1 card. You can target 1 Equip Card you control; destroy that target, then equip 1 Union Monster Card or Equip Spell from your hand, GY or you control to an appropriate target you control, but it cannot be Special Summoned by its own effect this turn. You can only use each effect of "Mechalaser Pilot Dustsource" once per turn. When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster from your Deck or GY to your hand, then discard 1 card. If this card is in your hand or GY: You can banish this card and 1 other monster from hand or GY, then target 1 "Mechalaser" monster in your GY; Special Summon that target in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Mechalaser Pilot Airsource" once per turn. If you control no monsters in your Extra Monster Zone while this card is in your hand: You can Special Summon this card. Cannot attack, unless you control a "Mechalaser Pilot" monster. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Mechalaser" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. It gains 500 ATK/DEF, also it cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's effects. When this card is Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Mechalaser" monster from your hand, then you can equip this card to that monster, and if you do, the equipped monster becomes Level 6, also discard 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Mechalaser Roaming Supporter" once per turn. Pendulum Effect: Once per turn: You can target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, but it cannot be Special Summoned by its own effect this turn. If an Equip Card(s) you control would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. Monster Effect: Cannot attack, unless you control a "Mechalaser Pilot" monster. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. While this card is equipped to a monster, the equipped monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase, also your opponent cannot activate monster effects until the end of the Damage Step. When this card is Summoned: You can target 1 "Mechalaser" monster in your GY; Special Summon that target, then discard 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Mechalaser Skyfall Stormclearer" once per turn. Pendulum Effect: Once per turn: You can target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, but it cannot be Special Summoned by its own effect this turn. Once per turn: You can target 1 Warrior or Machine monster you control with a Level; its Level becomes 6 until the end of this turn, also it becomes a Tuner. Monster Effect: Cannot attack, unless you control a "Mechalaser Pilot" monster. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. While this card is equipped to a monster, if the equipped monster attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step, also negate the effects of face-up Spells/Traps your opponent control. When this card is Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Mechalaser" monster from your hand or that is face-up in your Extra Deck, then you can equip this card to that target and it becomes Level 6. You can only use this effect of "Mechalaser Fierceswipe Lightclasherr" once per turn. Target 1 "Mechalaser" card in your Pendulum Zone or Union Monster Card equipped to a monster; Special Summon that target. If this card is in your GY: You can banish this card; add 1 Machine Pendulum Monster from your Deck or GY to your Extra Deck face-up. You can only use 1 effect of "Mechalaser Flymode" per turn, and only once that turn. Equip only to a "Mechalaser" monster. It gains 1000 ATK, also if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. Once per turn, if the equipped monster inflict battle damage to your opponent: You can draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card. You can only use the following effects of "Mechalaser Infinity Energyblade" once per turn. If this card is sent to the GY: You can target 1 other "Mechalaser" card in your GY; place that target on top of your Deck or in your Pendulum Zone. If this card is in your GY: You can banish 2 other "Mechalaser" cards from your GY; add this card to your hand. Equip only to a "Mechalaser" monster. Once per turn: You can target up to 3 face-up monsters your opponent controls; all those targets lose 1000 ATK/DEF. Once per turn, at the end of the Damage Step, if the equipped monster battled an opponent's monster: You can banish that opponent's monster. You can only use the following effects of "Mechalser Tripleshot Volley" once per turn. Target 1 "Mechalaser" card you control; return that target to your hand, then if you activated this card in response to your opponent's attack or effect that would destroy that target, you can destroy that card. If the targeted monster is equipped with an Equip Card, you can activate this card from your hand. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Mechalaser" card in your GY or among your banished cards, except "Mechalaser Bailout"; add that target to your hand. You can only use 1 effect of "Mechalaser Bailout" per turn, and only once that turn. 2 monsters, including a "Mechalaser" monster When this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Mechalaser" card from your Deck or GY to your hand, then discard 1 card. Your linked "Mechalaser" monsters do not need to discard with their effects. If a "Mechalaser Pilot" monster(s) is Summoned to a zone this card points to: You can equip 1 "Mechalaser" Union monster or Equip Spell from your Deck or GY to each of those monsters, but they cannot be Special Summoned by their own effects this turn. You can only use each effect of "Mechalaser Pilot Dusksource" once per turn. 2+ monsters, including a Warrior or Machine monster Your linked "Mechalaser" monsters do not need to discard with their effects. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Mechalaser" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. It gains 2000 DEF, also it can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If it does, apply its DEF for damage calculation. You can only use the following effects of "Omechalaser Pilot Ultrasource" once per turn. If a monster with this card equipped leaves the field: You can Special Summon this card from your GY. During your Main Phase, if this card is in your Monster Zone or Spell & Trap Zone: You can Special Summon 1 Machine Pendulum Monster from your Deck or face-up in your Extra Deck in Defense Position, but its effects are negated and it becomes Level 6, but it cannot be used as Link Material this turn. ¨ 2+ Level 3 monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can detach 2 materials from this card; place 1 Machine Pendulum Monster from your Deck or GY in your Pendulum Zone, Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; equip 1 "Mechalaser" Union monster or Equip Spell from your Deck or GY to this card, then discard 1 card, but it cannot be Summoned by its own effect this turn. Once per turn, if you Summon an "Mechalaser" monster(s): You can equip 1 "Mechalaser" Equip Spell from your Deck or GY to each of those monsters. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, but it cannot be Special Summoned by its own effect this turn. Monster Effect: 2 Level 6 monsters If you can Pendulum Summon Level 6, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card from your Extra Deck. Cannot attack, unless you control a "Mechalaser Pilot" monster. Once per turn: You can target 1 card other "Mechalaser" card you control; return that target to your hand, and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone. If this card has material attached, this is a Quick Effect. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. While this card is equipped to a monster: You can target 1 monster on the field; change its battle position, and if you targeted an opponent's monster, negate its effects, then draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Omechalaser Obstructive Drillburst" once per turn. Pendulum Effect: Once per turn: You can reduce this card's Pendulum Scale by 1 for each Equip Card you control and Equip Spell and Union monsters in your GY. Once per turn: You can target 3 "Mechalaser" cards in your GY and among your banished cards; shuffle those targets into your Deck, then draw 1 card. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Mechalaser Pilot" monster you control; equip this card to that target, but it cannot be Special Summoned by its own effect this turn. If this card is equipped with an Equip Card: You can target 1 of your banished "Mechalaser" monsters; Special Summon that target in Defense Position. If your opponent would Summon a monster(s) (Quick Effect): You can destroy 1 Equip Card equipped to this card, and if you do, negate the Summon, then destroy that monster(s).
