Gift of the Guardian
Spell Card
Activate this card while you control a monster with a original DEF of 3000 or higher. Draw 2 cards. If a Defense Position monster(s) you control would be destroyed by an opponents card, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only activate 1 "Gift of the Guardian" once per turn.

This is very situational - not all monsters have DEF whose original DEF is 3000 or higher.

I’d say this is for decks that abuse high defense stats Surge, that’s why it’s a draw 2, similar to Cards Of Consonance which requires you discard a dragon-type tuner with 1000 or less ATK which is also very situational but Blue-Eyes, a deck with a lot of low ATK dragon-type tuners, abuses the f*ck out of Cards Of Consonance. So I’d say something like Kaijus, Subterrer, overall decks that aim for monsters that just so happen to have a f*ck ton of DEF will also abuse the f*ck out of this card.

You do make a good point there - Subterror can abuse the heck out of the card.

Doesn't Blue-Eyes only have 2 archetype specific dragon tuners with less than 1k ATK, the 2 stones and one of them is trash. All their other tuners are spellcasters.

True but both are still technically a +1 if used with Cards Of Consonance so that’s why Blue-Eyes abuses it so heavily.
