Atypical-Abbie
Obedient Fiend is an Archetype of Fiend monsters with various Levels and Attributes. They focus on having no cards in your hand or field for Ultimate Obedient Fiend to work, Link Monsters, destroying monsters and Special Summoning from the GY and Level manipulation. The main playstyle revolves around getting Ultimate Obedient Fiend on the field, preferably linked to one of the Link Monsters as it negates their effects, or depending on the situation you may want to eliminate your entire hand and field instead, though this is of course riskier. Each monster is able to destroy cards to SS from the hand or GY, they are also fairly friendly towards other Fiends, making various combo plays possible, throw in some Unchained monsters for example. They are based around demonic and hellish concepts, and are the servants to Ultimate Obedient Fiend, which is a powerful card, but has quite a harsh condition, so I wanted to play around that card, as well as making it a little bit easier for it to simply be a powerhouse. I didn't originally intend to make them multi-Attribute, was just gonna go FIRE, but figured that it felt like Fiend/FIRE was too restrictive when it came to card images for me, as I want to do that more, and finding images I like can be hard. Original Card: New Cards: Quote If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 1 Fiend monster you control; destroy that target, and if you do, Special Summon this card in Defense Position, but shuffle it into the Deck when it leaves the field. If this card is Summoned: You can destroy up to 3 other cards from your hand and/or field, then send the same number of cards from your Deck to the GY with different names, including 1 "Obedient Fiend" card. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Stomper" once per turn. Quote If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 1 Fiend monster you control; destroy that target, and if you do, Special Summon this card in Defense Position, but shuffle it into the Deck when it leaves the field. You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Obedient Fiend" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Biter" once per turn. Quote If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 2 cards you controls, including 1 Fiend monster; destroy those targets, and if you do, Special Summon this card, but shuffle it into the Deck when it leaves the field. You can target 1 Fiend monster in your GY and 1 Fiend monster you control; Special Summon the first target and destroy the second target. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Ruler" once per turn. Quote If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 2 cards you control, including 1 Fiend monster; destroy those targets, and if you do, Special Summon this card in Defense Position, but shuffle it into the Deck when it leaves the field. If this card is sent to the GY: You can draw 2 cards, then reveal your hand, and discard any cards, other than "Ultimate Obedient Fiend". You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Explorer" once per turn. Quote If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 2 cards you control, including 1 Fiend monster; destroy those targets, and if you do, Special Summon this card in Defense Position, but shuffle it into the Deck when it leaves the field. If this card is Special Summoned: You can destroy cards on the field, up to the number of Fiend monsters destroyed to Special Summon this card +1. You can only use each effect of "You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Crusher" once per turn. Quote If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 2 cards you control, including 1 Fiend monster; destroy those targets, and if you do, Special Summon this card in Defense Position, but shuffle it into the Deck when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Manipulator" once per turn. Quote 2 Fiend monsters with different Levels When this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Obedient Fiend" card from your Deck to your hand, then discard 1 card. Negate the effects of monsters this card points to, also they cannot be destroyed by battle, except with a Fiend monster (Quick Effect): You can return this card to the Extra Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Fiend monster from your hand or GY. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Minion Caster" once per turn. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Soul" once per turn. Quote Discard 1 card, then target 1 Fiend monster you control; destroy that target, and if you do, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck with the same Level that target had on the field, and if you do, it gains 500 ATK/DEF and is unaffected by card effects, other than "Obedient Fiend" effects, until the end of this turn. If this card is in your GY: You can banish this card; reduce or increase the Levels of all "Obedient Fiend" monster in your hand and you control by 2 until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Obedient Fiend's Damnation" once per turn. Kokoroshi
Ultimate Obedient Fiend is one of those niche boss monsters that you don’t really see because it’s not very good, so I like the idea of giving him support, even if he himself is a bad card. Yup that's exactly what I'm going for with Forming an Archetype, making crappy cards not so crappy.
