MickeyDee Posted May 4, 2022 Report Share Posted May 4, 2022 This archetype is based on deep sea life as well as flip effects and banishing cards (mostly your own) face down. Main Deck monsters are Fish based on the Bathypelagic zone, Synchro monsters are Sea Serpents named after the abyssopelagic zone and the support cards that provide consistency if banished by the Main Deck monster's effects would portray a submarine voyage being assaulted by these creatures as they explore the depths. I had an idea that the deepest part of the ocean would be represented by Aqua XYZ Hadal Pelagic monsters but couldn't come up with good effects. Bathyal Pelagic Hag - Dark Fish Flip **** 1300/1800 Flip: Banish up to 5 cards from either player's GY facedown. When this card is flipped face up: lower its Level by 1. It is now a Tuner. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. Bathyal Pelagic Angler - Dark Fish Flip **** 1200/1900 Flip: Excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck, and if you do, you can Special Summon 1 excavated Level 4 or lower Fish monster in face-up or face-down Defense Position, Banish the rest of the cards face-down. When this card is flipped face up: lower its Level by 1. It is now a Tuner. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. Bathyal Pelagic Vampire - Dark Fish Flip **** 1100/1700 Flip: Banish 1 card from your GY face-down: Banish 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. When this card is flipped face up: lower its Level by 1. It is now a Tuner. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. Bathyal Pelagic Yeti - Dark Fish Flip **** 1100/2000 Flip: Banish 1 card from your deck face-down. When this card is flipped face up: lower its Level by 1. It is now a Tuner. When this card is sent from the field to the GY: add 1 card that is banished face-down to your hand. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. Bathyal Pelagic Goblin - Dark Fish **** 1000/2300 Banish face-down any card that battles this monster at the end of the damage step. When this card is flipped face up: lower its Level by 1. It is now a Tuner. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. Abyssal Pelagic Dragon - Dark Sea-Serpent Synchro ******* 1500/2500 1 "Pelagic" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monster(s) Increase this cards' ATK by 300 for each card that is banished face-down. Once per turn, at the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent's monster: You can banish that opponent's monster, face-down. You must control more cards banished face-down than your opponent to activate and resolve this effect. Abyssal Pelagic Gulper - Dark Sea-Serpent Synchro ******* 1200/2600 1 "Pelagic" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monster(s) Look at your opponent's Extra Deck and banish 1 monster from it, face-down: increase this card's ATK by the ATK of the banished monster until your next Standby Phase. You must have 5 or more cards banished, face-down, to activate and resolve this effect. This effect of "Abyssal Pelagic Gulper" can only be activated once per turn. Abyssal Pelagic Colossus - Dark Sea-Serpent Synchro ******* 2400/2800 1 "Pelagic" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monster(s) When this card is Synchro Summoned: banish cards from the top of your opponent's deck, face-down, equal to the amount of cards you possess banished, face-down. Then destroy cards on the field up to the amount of cards banished by this effect. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. Abyssal Pelagic King - Dark Sea-Serpent Synchro ******* 2600/3000 1 "Pelagic" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monster(s) Once per turn: you can set one of your cards that is banished face-down. While you control a set monster: this monster cannot be destroyed in battle or by monster card effects. While you control a set Spell/Trap card: this monster cannot be targeted by Spell/Trap effects. Expedition to the Pelagic Zone - Spell Flip face-up one face-down monster you control: special summon 1 "Pelagic" monster from your hand or GY in face-down or face-up Defense Position. When this card is banished face-down: add 1 "Pelagic" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Expedition to the Pelagic Zone" once per turn. Encounter in the Pelagic Zone - Trap When your opponent attacks one of your face-down monsters: flip your monster face-up and negate the attack. Then if, the flipped monster was a "Pelagic" monster, destroy the attacking monster. When this card is banished face-down: send 1 "Pelagic" card from your Deck to your GY. You can only activate this effect of "Encounter in the Pelagic Zone" once per turn. Escape from the Pelagic Zone - Trap Banish one "Pelagic" monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls face-down until your next Standby Phase. When this card is banished face-down: draw 2 cards. You can only activate this effect of "Escape from the Pelagic Zone" once per turn. The Pelagic Zone - Field Spell Face-down monsters cannot be targeted by card effects. "Pelagic" monsters you control gain 100 ATK and DEF for each card that is banished face-down. Once per turn: you can rearrange the face-down Defense Position monsters in your Main Monster Zones, then return them in face-down Defense Position.
