You can only use the 1st effect of this card’s name once per turn.

(2) You can banish this card from your GY; once, if you would Fusion Summon an “Amazoness” Fusion Monster this turn, you can also send 1 “Amazoness” monster from your Extra Deck to the GY as material.

Not gonna lie, I forgot Power Tool Dragon/Life Stream was even an EARTH monster tbph.

While I am happy that this archetype got more support, I am unhappy with how underwhelming some of it is.

Yeah, last time they got support was back in the Arc-V era. But...I feel these are too far behind for the current gamestate.

The Pendulums are....meh. I know there's support for Pendulum cards. but...they could've done a little more with them.

Shaman's self-Summon effect is great! Her search effect? No. Not in my opinion. What is it with these cards and insisting on using Polymerization? Couldn't it at least give you the choice of Polymerization or Amazoness Secret Technique? As is, it's equivalent to adding whipped cream on a beverage or pastry.

Kaiserin's effect is better than King Liger's. But if you were to have both in a Deck...you're realistically going to use King Liger more.

I have to agree regarding the Pendulums. I honestly do think they could've done more with them, especially regarding their monster effects, at least have them do something on the field in addition to having ways of placing them in the pend zone.

I'm happy with the little boost the pendulums give the strategy, they are pesky cards that stick around keeping opponent's S/T off the field, recycling some S/T of you own, and giving a decent ATK boost in a battle focused deck (Kaiserin can have a whopping 5200 ATK).

I think it's super stupid Shamen can't search the secret technique.

Secret technique does allow Kaiserin to see just about as much play right?

 

It's weird the anti-synergy the Pendulums have with Swords women.

Perhaps. But even with Amazoness Call, I doubt most players could afford the resources to make both in the same turn. It's possible, yes. But it'd have been even more possible if Shaman could search it. 2 in-archetype searchers, six copies total in the Deck. But as is...we've got to use Pot cards to get them...

Yeah. It just seems like some misdirection. I don't think whoever developed the Pendulum cards cared about the idea enough to make them more practical.

To be fair the Pendulums can be bounced using Amazoness Shaman and then be placed back after using them as Fusion material.

That way a single Amazoness Shaman in one's hand/graveyard with one of the Pendulums on the board is an engine to spit out 1 fusion each turn, without the need of additional resources.

The biggest issues (from my perspective) are the fact that Amazoness Shaman cannot add Polymerization from the graveyard, given that this means that one has to run a large number of copies, as well as the new Fusion Spell Amazoness Secret Technique not allowing one to use both effects in the same turn (which would make getting out 2 copies of Amazoness Kaiserin, while tutoring Amazoness Queen, only reliant on drawing one copy of Polymerization).

I guess the saving grace is that with Necro Fusion it is still possible to get out 2 copies of Amazoness Kaiserin + Amazoness Queen (from Kaiserin) turn 1.

Yeah Poly should be gotten from both Deck or GY at this point. Extra deck dedication is a bit meh, although it seems the Pendulums are meant to just be tossed from other places and ending up as Fusion fodder to set them up for the self-revive. The ATK boost is a lot of the time gonna be mediocre but I like the backrow removal and S/T recycling so there's that.
Pendulum Summon is not gonna come up a ton. Fusing away cards or Summoning them from the Deck is more likely for even stuff like Queen. I guess if you run through copies of the Pendulums you might start having a freebie sorta deal with a copy of a scale in the Extra Deck but that's about as far as it'd go.
