Elementalist is a deck consisting of 5 "Elementalists", one for each attribute, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Light, and the main mechanic is to send them to the graveyard to use it as resource to activate powerfull effects by banishing the correct attribute monster from the graveyard. Each one has a "Normal" and "Master" form, being the 4 main types as Effect Monster for the weak form, and Xyz for the strong form, and the Light one being a Link 1 for the weak form, and a Link 4 for the strong form.

The Boss monster is the Master Elementalist Kystus, that can negate monster effects by summoning monsters to your opponents side of the field. The balance here is that her negate effect isn't once per turn, but not only she needs a good setup for it to be used properly, but also each negate gives your opponent a card that he can use on his favour, so you will need to think if you really want to negate the effects he activates.

Field Spell

Once per turn you can activate only one of these effects:
* Target 1 banished "Elementalist"
monster: Send it to the graveyard.
* Target 1 "Elementalist" monster in your graveyard: Add it to your hand
If an "Elementalist" monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect: You can banish 1 "Elementalist" monster from your graveyard with the same attribute instead.

I did experiment with some possible combos, all of them using a single card:

I'm using this reference for zone positioning:

Ofc, all summoning zones can be mirrored

Starter: Elementalist Dingenso

  • Normal Summon Dingenso (Slot 1)
  • Dingenso eff triggers adding "Elementalist Orb" to your hand
  • Activate "Elementalist Orb
  • Link Summon "Elementalist Kystus" using Dingenso as material (Left Zone)
  • Activate Kystus effect, banishing Dingenso
  • Orb triggers, creating a chain
  • Chain 1: Kystus, Chain 2: Orb
  • Orb summons another copy of Dingenso (its effect doesn't trigger) from the deck (Slot 1)
  • Kystus summons "Elementalist Larcis" from the deck (Slot 5)
  • Larcis' effect activates, adding another copy of Dingenso from the deck to your hand
  • Activate Dingenso's effect from hand, special summoning it, since Larcis is on the field (Slot 4)
  • Activate Dingenso's summon effect, adding the Elementalist Domain from the deck to your hand (his search effect isn't opt)
  • Activate Domain
  • Link Summon Familiar Darius using Larcis and Kystus as materials (Left Zone)
  • Activate Darius' effect, summoning 2 copies of "Elementalist Gorpodan" (Slot 2 and 3)
  • Xyz Summon Master Elementalist Gorpodan, using the 2 Gorpodans on field (Slot 2)
  • Activate Master Elementalist Gorpodan effect, detaching one material, and targeting the material just detached (the Gorpodan) to summon it (Slot 3)
  • Activate the second effect of Elementalist Domain and add the Elementalist Larcis to your hand from your grave
  • Activate Larcis effect from hand, summoning it since Dingenso is on the field (Slot 5)
  • Link Summon another Elementalist Kystus using the Master Elementalist Gorpodan as material (Slot 2)
  • Link Summon another Elementalist Kystus using the Elementalist Kystus as material (Slot 2) (yes, link summon itself again)
  • Link Summon Master Elementalist Kystus using as material Familiar Darius, Dingenso (on Slot 4) and Larcis (Left Zone)
  • Master Elementalist Kystus summon effect send another Gorpodan to the grave

After this combo you have Master Elementalist Kystus with possibly 7 negates (each negate summons the monster to your opponent side of the field) and the field spell that protects your monsters from destruction.

You can make the same board by starting with Elementalist Larcis instead, the combo will be a little bit different:

  • Normal Summon Larcis (Slot 1)
  • Activate Larcis summon effect, adding 1 Dingenso to your hand
  • Activate Dingenso's effect, special summoning it (Slot2)
  • Dingenso's effect searching the Orb
  • Activate the Orb
  • Link Summon Kystus using Dingenso as material (Left Zone)
  • Activate Kystus to banish Dingenso
  • Orb triggers, Chain 1: Kystus, Chain 2: Orb
  • Orb summons another Dingenso (Slot 2)
  • Kystus Summon Gorpodan (Slot 3)
  • Dingensos' summoning effect adds Elementalist Domain from deck to hand
  • Activate Domain
  • Link summon Familiar Darius using Kystus and Larcis as material (Left Zone)
  • Activate Darius effect, summoning 2 Gorpodan from deck (Slot 4 and 5)
  • Xyz summon Master Elementalist Gorpodan using 2 Gorpodan (from slot 4 and 5 to Slot 1)
  • Activate Master Gorpodan, detach material, and summon the Gorpodan to Slot 4
  • Link Summon Kystus using Master Gorpodan (Slot 1)
  • Link Summon Kystus using Kystus (Slot 1)
  • Activate 2nd Field effect, adding Larcis to your hand
  • Special Summon Larcis from hand since Dingenso is on the field
  • Link Sumon Master Kystus using Darius, Gorpodan (Slot 4) and Larcis (Slot 5) on the Left Zone
  • Master Kystus summoning effect send Dingenso from deck to grave

Same board, 7 negates.

Remember: each negate summons a special monster to your opponent field, so you probably wont be able to use all 7 in the same turn (that would be pretty OP), and giving advantage and link materials for your opponent also gives the card a good balancing (i think, feedbacks are appreciated!)

Now for the other 2 monsters, you can also make pretty much the same board, except they are a little bit weaker. Starting with Faier gives you 6 negates, and Gorpodan gives you 5 negates

Here is the combo, starting with either one

  • Normal summon Gorpo/Faier (Slot 1)
  • Link summon Kystus using Gorpo/Faier (Left Zone)
  • Activate Kystus, banishing Gorpo/Faier, summoning Larcis from deck (Slot 5)
  • Larcis summoning effect, adding Dingenso from deck to hand
  • Special summon Dingenso from hand (Slot 4)
  • Activate Dingenso summon effect, adding Elementalist Domain to your hand
  • Activate Domain
  • Link Summon Familiar Darius using Kystus and Larcis (Left Zone)
  • Activate Darius effect, summoning 2 Gorpodan from the deck
  • Xyz Summon Master Gorpodan using the 2 Gorpodan on the field (Slot 1)
  • Activate Master Gorpodan detaching 1 Gorpodan, and summoning 1 Gorpodan (Slot 2)
  • Activate Domain's second effect, adding Larcis from the graveyard to your hand
  • Special summon Larcis from hand (Slot 3)
  • Link Summon Kystus using Master Gorpodan (Slot 1)
  • Link Summon Kystus using Kystus (Slot 1)
  • Link Sumong Master Kystus using Familiar Darius, Dingenso and Larcis (Left Zone)
  • Activate Kystus summoning effect
    • If you started with Gorpodan, there is no material that you can send that increases your negate, you can send anything you want
    • If you started with Faier, there is one last Gorpodan on the deck, send it so you can have 1 more negate

At the end you should have 5 negates in your grave (6 if you started with Faier)
